Everything was amazing! So worth it for our stay~ we loved the area so much, and it is so close to the train stations when getting by~ the host was awesome especially with responding. The place is very close to a nursery indeed, so children can be heard in the mornings, but we did not find this an issue as we were up early and going around the area~ We very much enjoyed our stay and most definitely recommend it to everyone !!

Ich hatte eine gute Zeit in der Unterkunft in Kyoto! Die kleine Wohnung hat einige Ausstattungen wie Küchenutensilien, Shampoo, Handttücher, Putzmittel, Waschmaschiene, was sehr hilfreich für mich war. Sie liegt etwas außerhalb, aber die nächste Bushaltestelle ist sehr nah und man kommt gut mit Bus in die Stadt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, aber es gibt einzelne kleine Restaurants, einen Supermarkt und einen Schrein in der näheren Umgebung, die ich auch gerne besucht habe. Die Unterkunft hatte an der ein oder anderen Stelle einen kleinen Fleck an den Wänden, aber Bad und Küche waren sehr sauber. Für den sehr günstigen Preis finde ich das in Ordnung! Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt hat es mir sehr gut gefallen.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans l’appartement. Il est confortable, bien équipé et nous avions de l’espace pour ranger nos affaires. Le quartier est très calme, ce sui est appréciable après une journée de visite à Osaka qui est bruyant. La communication avec l’hôte était fluide. Des supérettes sont proches ainsi que la gare et l’hôte fournit des vélos. Nous recommandons vivement.

Masanabou est un hôte vraiment très sympathique et très gentil. Le logement est spacieux, très bien aménagé et pas très loin d’une station de train et de 2 station de bus. Je vous recommande ce logement!

A beautiful and cozy house with splendid view. We stayed 2 nights with heavy snow both days. Though the cost is a bit pricey, soaking in the open air bath watching snowfall outside made the stay so worthy. Location is convenient with restaurants , supermarkets , attraction within 5-10 minutes driving distance. Highly recommend for couple looking forward to a private and relaxing vacation.

The apartment was very clean and looked quite authentic. It‘s a really beautiful traditional house. It is only 5 minutes away from Kyoto station by foot so there were a lot of restaurants and it is easy to get around. I really enjoyed the stay!

Excelente alojamiento! Muy espacioso, nuevo y cuidado. Fuimos con nuestros 3 hijos adolescentes y tuvimos espacio de sobra. La ubicación es muy buena para visitar Gion y los templos de alrededor pero hay que tener en cuenta que queda algo alejado (20 min en bus) de la estación de Kioto lo que hace que visitar otros lugares turísticos lleve más tiempo. Con todo esto estuvimos muy a gusto en el alojamiento y lo recomendamos.

A lovely Japanese feel with a tatami bedroom and hall area. Quite spacious for the area (with 2 toilets!) and easy to travel around from nearby subway or bus stops. Useful balcony for drying clothes. plenty of local supermarkets. We really enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

April and her husband were incredibly kind and helpful. Their place is very nice with n unbeatable location. I would definitely recommend it!

This was such a wonderful stay! I completely recommend it to others. The space oozes charm and was thoughtfully designed. Yoko & Mayumi are delightful, communicative hosts.

The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet with many restaurants and konbini nearby. Even though it is quite far away from the nearest train station, there are many bus-stops nearby for getting around Kyoto. The host was really nice and helped explained to us all the rules and information about the stay, including nearby restaurants and amenities.

Our stay at Playzendo was perfect! Great location and the washer made it easy to refresh and clean our clothes. Highly recommend if you need an easy and convenient spot to stay in Kyoto!

The location of this stay was perfect, within walking distance of many of Kyotos must-see places and great restaurants. The apartment was small (like most Japanese apartments), but incredible value for the price. Taiyo was helpful and responsive.

Ohara allowed me to stay in his beautiful home and was a wonderful host. Very friendly and the home was very close to the station and multiple stores.

We enjoyed our stay in Kyoto. It was in a great location and we were able to get to everything fairly easily. The space was small, and there is not space for oversized luggage. We carefully laid them on the bathroom floor near the windows and that still gave us enough space to move about. The rest of the flooring is tatami mats so you need to be very carefulnot to roll luggage on it. You also have to walk up a narrow stepped staircase for 3 floors to make it to the room so please keep that in mind. It had beautiful traditional japanese touches that made it stand out. The open air bath was a lovely feature and I especially enjoyed that. It also has a door for privacy. My husband and I did notice that it is not possible to fill the bathtub while the shower was on, so I would suggest filling the bathtub before you shower. Keep these things in mind when you are deciding if it's right for you. Overall, it was lovely and the japanese beds helped our bodies recover from each day of walking.

K/H did an amazing job as a host and making me feel welcome during my stay in Kyoto. Their clear directions made the stay seamless. Noise around the bnb was not as bad as expected ( rail line by the apartment), and it didn’t impact my sleep at all! Thanks again!

Very clean, space was perfect for two! Would recommend if only looking for a place to sleep, 2 minutes away from the station so very convenient to go and explore Kyoto!

Very good experience of staying there. The room was clean and the facilities were all in good working order and the Japanese style bathroom worked well. The neighbourhood is also well stocked with shops and restaurants, and it's close to the metro station.

This was the best accommodation during our Japan travel. The place was so spacious compared to the other places we stayed at in Japan, and even the bathroom which I found very small in general around Japan was very big here. Especially loved the outdoor bath!! A baby cot and bath tub were provided and our baby slept beautifully during the stay. Our futons were comfortable too.

It is perfect for long stay! If you are a digital nomad, this is the place. It felt like home, the apartment has everything for a long stay, it is comfy, organized, clean and has enough tools for cooking. The neighborhood is lovely, very calm to relax and have a local experience in Japan. The only thing is that everything is far, 16 min walking to the subway station and 10 minutes to the supermarket/family mart. 1 hour by subway to downtown in Osaka or Kyoto/Nara. But for long stay this is not a problem once you have time to enjoy the city and the local neighborhood. Also in sakura season, the park in front of the apartment looks beautiful! There is a laundry room at the building so it is very easy to wash your clothes. Masako was very responsive and helpful all the time. I would definetly come back!
