Our family stay was excellent, the house is spacious, modern and very well decorated, with everything you need in the kitchen to prepare all kinds of food, a large pool and spaces in the backyard that overlooks the sea to rest or share with your loved ones; right in front of the sea so from almost all areas of the house you can easily see it. We loved it and hope to return very soon. 100% recommended

Hands down, this was the best AirBnB experience I have had to date. The property is exactly as advertised, the location is safe, secluded, and serene (especially during rainy season). Andi and his wife are incredibly helpful and gracious hosts. We communicated daily about best times for the cleaning/maintenance crew to perform their duties around my fluid and unpredictable schedule. They assisted with my transportation to and from the local airport, arranged my ATV rental for the week, arranged both an in-home massage therapist and an in-home chef, provided numerous specialized individual recommendations for restaurants, hikes, excursions, etc. I will absolutely be returning to The Green House in the future. This is an absolute gem!

We and our kids (13, 10, 6) took a last minute trip for Spring Break. The house and pool are incredible. The view is amazing. The house is comfortable, private, safe, and well stocked. The host and her team (shout out to Johanna, Elena, and Wagner) were incredible helpful and gracious. They helped to arrange activities, and on of the best meals we had our whole trip was prepared by Wagner and his wife. We recommend and hope to be back soon!

Eloide is such a wonderful host. She was there to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed. The unit was just perfect for us., very comfortable and a peaceful location. We loved the beautiful jungle surroundings and enjoyed a swim in the pool. This was a great find and we will be back again! Thank you for having us, Eloide.

This was my second stay at L Villa. Everything was perfect again. Clean, quality, and luxurious. So peaceful here, privately perched in the jungle. The professional team of hosts for this property are top-notch.

Spending my 50th birthday here was magical—truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Krista and Guido go above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home. The house sits atop a mountain with stunning views of the valley and ocean. Each evening, we were serenaded by thousands of birds—pure magic. I spent hours in the hammock listening to nature and unwinding. The bed linens and pillows were exceptional—a rare treat in CR. Thoughtful touches like organic coffee, honey, and pantry staples made cooking a breeze. The pool was spectacular, surrounded by fragrant flowers. We explored Nosara and Samara for beaches and great food. Meeting the hosts and sharing our love for Costa Rica—having moved here a year ago—was a highlight. The on-site waterfall was the cherry on top.

This place is stunning! It's up in the hills and super quiet. This modern home was beautiful and immaculate and had everything we needed. All the glass windows remind you that you are in the jungle and to slow down, what an amazing space. Claudia the property manager is fantastic and responsive. Karen was so helpful and we had wonderful local support from Sophie and Vanessa who look after the house and their guests very well. It’s beautiful and furnished to the highest spec with every gadget and utensil and towels you could imagine needing. Great sized mugs and beautiful ones too. Sophie and Vanessa are based very locally with advice on tours and a great little coffee shop. Sophie booked our tours for us and Vanessa cooked some wonderful breakfasts and also give great info on great local fish restaurants and Costa Rica as a whole which helped greatly with the rest of our trip after our 10 days at the wonderful ‘House of Light’. Thanks Karen and Guy on your local tips; the night kayaking in the bioluminescence, swimming in Cameron bay with the birds swooping down around us to catch fish and a couple of days relaxing on Playa Vivos with their fabulous restaurant and cocktails. The howler monkeys the highlight in the trees at dawn and dusk in the trees surrounding us. Beautiful

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home! The view from the patio is absolutely spectacular — we spent hours just watching the clouds roll over the mountains, spotting birds and wildlife right from the comfort of our chairs. The home was spotless and clearly well cared for, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the thoughtful welcome basket with fresh fruit and local coffee. We arrived just before a big storm rolled in and didn’t have time to stop for supplies, so having those essentials waiting for us in the kitchen was a huge relief and incredibly appreciated. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic escape. We would absolutely stay here again!

5 Stars — Absolutely Amazing Stay! Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully designed, and well-stocked the space was. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful — they made sure we had everything we needed and even left a few personal touches that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal — close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Whether we were relaxing on the patio, enjoying the local scenery, or cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen, every moment felt effortless and enjoyable. We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and this one truly stands out. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful experience

This home had beautiful views, a wonderful staff, and was a superb find for our family’s Christmas vacation. Santa Teresa is amazing and we had some of the best food on vacation ever! Our host , Brano was very responsive and our local helpers were amazing. There is a housekeeping staff on site, but they respect your privacy and keep watch over the property. They brought us extra towels when needed and were overall extremely respectful and helpful. For those traveling to this location, I strongly recommend either a car or ATVs as the home is located up a steep driveway. It is walkable (and there are 150 stairs to use instead) but to do this on a daily basis, you would have to be pretty fit and young. In addition, there are stairs from the driveway to get down to the house and these would not be appropriate for anyone with balance or stability issues. They were fine for us at 50 years old, but should be a consideration for anyone with walking or stability issues. We had a great time!

everything is relative $200 the night, it was needed details, if it were picky I would say that there was no cleaning, the same was given the day before leaving, utensils were needed in the kitchen.

We had the most incredible time at this gorgeous spot. Daniella was wonderful to deal with, so easy to get a hold of, attentive and great to chat with. Always had excellent suggestions and recommendations, she made our stay feel so easy and she was so accommodating. The house is very well thought out, spacious beyond what the photos show and the most amazing backyard filled with howler monkeys throughout the trees that greet you in the mornings and afternoons. Had absolutely everything you could think of needing for a relaxing adults trip. A 5 minute drive to the beach town of Samara, which was wonderful to adventure around, so many great beach bars and open market style restaurants with fantastic food! Heritage Bar was a favourite with some of the best burgers and Indian food I’ve ever had! Only 10 minutes to playa carillo. I wish we had booked this spot for longer!

What a special place tucked away in Punta Islita, yet still a part of the larger hotel/resort amenities. Exceeded expectations. Perfect for 2 families joining up for a vacation, who need a kitchen, laundry and pool yet can still figure out some adult private time. Loved the proximity to the beach, pool and bar there. It's a 10 min walk on a walkway covered by trees for most of it- needed in the dry/hot season. It was super helpful to be connected with site manager/concierge, he and Nancy both helped with questions. We did a bunch of activities (saw monkeys with a guide right outside and surfed) and got to relax. Very worth the bumpy ride out. Have your 4x4 and your all set.

Everything was amazing! I literally felt like home. The apartment is very beautiful with nice design and furniture. It’s very private, a lot of green around the apartment. Kristen was an amazing host! She responds very quickly and is very friendly and helpful! Would love to come back when coming back to Samara :)

Our family really enjoyed this home - especially seeing the monkeys, having great swings for our daughter to play on, and an amazing rooftop view!! When the pool pump was not working properly, Rafal was there very quickly to fix the timer and was very personable. When in this area, we would definitely stay here again.

It's a place to enjoy

Had an amazing stay ! Location gives you a real feel of Costa Rica, she was not kidding when she said you need a 4X4 to access the property. Love the home, love the view, and love the easy communication with the host.

We really enjoyed our stay at Clara’s place. The location was excellent - it felt very private, nestled in the jungle, but also a short drive to the main strip and beaches. Despite the bathroom being open air, we saw almost no bugs and none in the downstairs unit (a big positive for my fearful girlfriend). The place itself was charming and tastefully designed. Clara was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We would happily stay here again!

We loved this beautiful and spacious home, perfect for our group of 6! The pool & covered outdoor lounge area were favorites, and the huge comfortable beds with well-stocked bathrooms (including unique open-ceiling showers) made for a wonderful stay. The private gated entrance also provided great security. A few practical notes: the final stretch to the house is very steep and unpaved, so I'd recommend having a 4WD vehicle with high clearance. We experienced some water outages due to storm damage—our first night into the next afternoon & a few hours another day. Unfortunately, our last night was cut short by a flash flood requiring us to evacuate. However, the hosts' friends responded incredibly quickly, helping us leave the house safely and covering our meal and hotel costs that night. Despite challenging weather circumstances, the hosts' response was exemplary and we're grateful for their support. The house is stunning and we'd consider staying again, likely outside rainy season!

Pictures do not do justice to the view from this property ! Host was amazing , recommend renting ATVs , host arranged for them to be delivered for us, we loved riding them into town , to the beaches and visited Montezuma and the tide pools. We look forward to renting this property again on our next visit to the area !

We recently stayed at this beautiful property in Samara, Costa Rica. It looked absolutely gorgeous and exactly like the photos. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, which was perfect for us as we were looking for a peaceful retreat. However, it's worth noting that Samara is still expanding, so don't expect too many activities or amenities in the immediate area. During our stay, we experienced a massive (and unusual) storm that resulted in a power outage during a few hours and intermittent water supply. Nathan and Jacquie, the owners, were incredibly responsive and came to the rescue very quickly by backwashing the pool. This is during such experiences, that you can see how efficient and friendly your hosts are - and they did not disappoint. Overall, despite this weather-related challenges, we had a very pleasant stay and greatly appreciated the owners' prompt assistance for everything. Definitely recommend!

A very beautiful house that has privacy in the jungle canopy. It is esthetically pleasing and all of the amenities worked well and were lovely to use. No TV or microwave, but all other amenities are there. WiFi worked great. Only went out super quick a couple times. One quick power outage. To be expected in this country and area. Didn’t bother us a bit. I agree the road below can be loud during busy times but we so enjoyed the pool and deck for several hours a day and evening. Howler monkeys sleep in the trees on the property and are so fun to watch. You must have a 4x4 SUV to get through rough roads high grades and loose gravel. The drive is steep and difficult to get up without the proper SUV. The management was extremely helpful and responsive with any issues or questions we had. The roads coming in at dark at night. They had someone to help us find the place right when we were arriving!! We loved this place and will stay again
