Nagasaki Sakashuku is a project to carefully renovate vacant houses on slopes in Nagasaki into shops and accommodations. It is a 5-minute walk from the Nagasaki Electric Railway "Kofukuji" stop. We renovated a row house built before the war along the old Mogi Highway. 10-minute walk to Shikanbashi, the downtown area of Nagasaki. It is a 15-minute walk to the tourist street, and it is relatively conveniently located close to the city, while you can also experience the cityscape that is typical of Nagasaki. Meganebashi, Chinatown, and Dejima are within walking distance. The building is located along the historic Mogi Highway, and can be reached by going up a hill from Shofukuji Station, past Shokakuji Temple, the site of Takashima's former residence, and Hakusan Shrine. The renovation has been modernized, including the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, and washroom, while taking advantage of the pillars and beams of the time. There is a coin parking lot nearby. We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees.
