My sister and I had the pleasure of taking our mother away for a weekend and mum summarised it best: “Given we had only 1 day to visit ‘ Frida Kahlo In her own Image ‘ our stay at Jamar Lodge has been too short. Apart from the home comforts and top notch fitted kitchen, the Lodge is superbly sited to command the expansive views of the Sheep Station . Rising with the Sun streaming through the living room shutters, our alfresco brunch in the garden was a sure highlight . Looking foward to return for a much longer stay.” Maree was also very warm and welcoming and definitely recommend the stay.

Just a perfect little place for a quick stopover, and some exciting scenery and animals to keep the kids entertained in the morning. We were greeted on arrival by the friendly old farm dog, who even checked up on us the next morning with lovely pats. The extra breakfast ammenities were lovely. Proper ground coffee to percolate and cute little cereals that the kids loved. Would recommend, especially for families like ours (2 kids; 2 and 5 years)

Bruce was extremely friendly towards us. He greeted us the first time we arrived and immediately started giving us recommendations on what to do around the area. Melinda was also kind enough to provide us with home-baked bread and home-made jam alongside it. It was delicious, we love the lovely hospitality provided by the couple.

We had a lovely time at Fiona’s thoughtful cottage. We particularly loved the wood fire heater, vintage iPod (with every artist ever) and fresh bread upon arrival. Just a short drive to Daylesford - it was the perfect little weekend getaway from the city. Thank you! We hope to be back one day :)

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. The unit was the perfect base for hikes in the Cathedral Ranges State Park, which is a 5 minute drive away, and for drives into the neighbouring towns of Alexandra and Marysville. We had everything we needed. The unit was stylishly and thoughtfully equipped, and we felt right at home. We were welcomed by Dave on arrival, despite arriving late in the evening. We highly recommend this place!

The perfect bushwalker, dog lover and nature seeker get-a-away with all the basic necessities for a comfortable and scenic stay. The large fully fenced area around the cabin was perfect for my eager border collie and husky to roam independently. Also lots of dog friendly walks to drive to, although the area is mostly surrounded by National Parks, so super great for walking without dogs too. The cabin is warm with closed-in fireplace and open plan rustic style with all the necessities so plenty of room for a couple. And the enclosed garden lovely for evenings under the stars or breakfasts in the sun. I loved it! Big Smiles…

Beautiful stay on Paramoor winery. The cottage was comfortable, warm with heating and a wood-burner, and the property is really peaceful. 10 minutes drive from Kyneton, Lancefield and Woodend, and wineries. The wine at Paramoor was delicious - we had a lovely tasting with Sam. Thank you!

A little haven in the country. So peaceful and quiet and just what the doc ordered. Beautifully appointed, lovely and warm as the rain lashed down outside and comms with Genevieve were excellent. Everything was top notch and we’d highly recommend a stay here with the Roos for company!

I loved my stay at Honeysuckle Farm. The cottage had everything to make yourself right at home. The fireplace, heating and electric blankets made the stay in winter so comfortable and cosy. The bath was amazing and spacious. The view was also a treat and the goats were hilarious. My stay was peaceful and calming- exactly what I needed. Emily and Aaron were very helpful and accommodating on such a last minute stay. I’ll definitely be staying there again. Thank you! Also the platter was 👌

Kookaburra Cottage was absolutely amazing beautiful location fantastic with the animals outside the cottage and able to feed them was a real treat. The hospitality was fantastic considering we made a last minute booking. There was a beautiful not and some fresh goodie’s for us. I would highly recommend kookaburra cottage and hope to get back this way again.

Believe all the 5 star reviews, this place is a gem! We can't wait to come back one day. We enjoyed cooking in the fantastically well appointed kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the whole place was super cosy. Loved sitting by the fireplace (and on the heated toilet seat!) when the weather was super chilly outside and my husband enjoyed the sauna experience for a small extra charge. This place is full of character, exactly as described, and feels warm and welcoming. The little cake and chocolate waiting for us on arrival plus fresh farm eggs delivered to the door were a bonus. Thank you Anneke for a wonderful little getaway.

Tiny home that packs a big fun Was welcomed by the friendly Gemma and her lovely dogs, even showed us around and let us feed carrots to Daisy the cow. Though it did rain for a bit during our stay, it didnt make our experience less fun and relaxing!

This is the most perfect farm stay. The lodge was secluded and very cosy. It was lovely to have a morning coffee on the couch overlooking the hills and watching the cows and alpacas. We were obsessed with the heated flooring in the bathroom 😂. The wind was quite strong but felt warm and cosy inside. Highly recommend

What a beautiful little slice of the yarra valley. The heating was very efficient, it was icy overnight and we had no idea. We woke to kangaroos outside the window each morning. The caretakers lodge was much closer to the accommodation than I expected, however they were very helpful and friendly and I didn't see them apart from when I checked in. The house is stunning. The view from the huge windows is lovely. It felt very luxurious and was a lovely place to stay after getting married. I would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Manor to others, and I'd love the opportunity to stay there again one day. The hosts were very proactive, kind, and professional, and gave me the impression that I could contact them at any time. Thank you for a very memorable experience.

Picturesque and historic farmhouse that felt like the middle of nowhere but close enough to Castlemaine and Bendigo. Amazing stargazing with very little light pollution and a comfortable home with everything needed. Will come back.

Rosie's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. The property was easy to find, very well equipped with not even a speck of dust, and in peaceful surroundings. We loved walking on the 4WD trail leading from the property, having breakfast at the table on the verandah, watching Netflix on the couch, and cooking in the kitchen. Our dog also loved being able to run off-lead in the enclosed back yard. It was also lovely to meet Sonya when we arrived.

We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. The fireplace added such a cozy touch. One of the highlights was definitely being able to get up close to the donkeys, such a special experience, Lion the cat was the friendliest cat we’ve ever met! Overall, we were really happy with our stay, and my son absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a truly unique experience. My partner and I stayed here and had an amazing time. Lynne is a fantastic host, we had a great all around stay and best of all was meeting all of the animals of the sanctuary.

We had the best stay at The Kingsley! Our family of 7 adults stayed to celebrate my Mum’s 60th Birthday. The house was very comfortable, warm & beautifully furnished. The layout was spacious & perfect for our family. We were spoilt with the underfloor heating in the bathrooms! On arrival we were treated with some breakfast goods & a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, thoroughly enjoyed! The kitchen was very well equipped, including spices & cookbooks. The beds were comfortable & cosy. Outside, the grounds were very well kept, including a fire pit. Both the wood fire inside & the fire pit had everything needed to get them started. Thanks for a great stay!

Returning for our second visit to The Hut and thoroughly enjoyed as much as the first. We relaxed in front of the fire in the outdoor area and forgot about the outside world in the peaceful setting and watching the kangaroos hop by. The property is lovely to walk around with the dog and check out the new Little Springs area by the dam, perfect for a summer evening. Meredith is only a short drive away and can recommend the Rustic Ram for great meal. We were happy to see our host Geoff again who is warm and welcoming and so easy to communicate with. The Hut has everything you need for a peaceful weekend retreat. Highly recommended.

Antonelle’s house was the perfect place for a girls weekend away. Close to some great wineries and local produce stores. The house itself was comfortable and cosy, very clean and tidy. The wildlife and horses were a bonus. Great views of the city too. Thank you for having us. We thoroughly enjoyed are time there.
