Monthly Rentals in Mullaghbawn

We had an amazing stay at Shane’s place. Peaceful and lovely to switch off for a few days in great surroundings. Great place for a base and go off to explore, loved relaxing in the hot tub of an evening. Nala the dog is adorable and we loved having her round. The whole family were so welcoming. If you want a tranquil break with the added luxury of outdoor space and a hot tub, this is for you.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It's an amazing place - so cosy and comfortable with great views. Francis is a fantastic host - really friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend the place more highly. Thanks Francis!

The cottage was spotless (clearly recently renovated, well-maintained and well-scrubbed that day) and full of welcoming touches upon our arrival, including a fresh loaf of bread and butter, tea, good coffee, milk and eggs. Margaret proactively invited us to check in early if we wanted, and it was very easy to find the place with her instructions. Our kids were occupied, playing a game and reading faerie stories from Margaret’s small collection, within minutes. It was a perfect retreat, with lovely, pastoral views out of every window, and bird song in the morning. It is only a few minutes to Slieve Gullion (interesting history and mythology)/Killeavy Castle (nice restaurant) and a small grocery. When we met our host, we understood where the kindness and welcome had come from— Margaret’s husband called the horses to us for the kids to pet, and gifted my daughter the book she had found there. Comfortable beds; quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking for a little country retreat.

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
