This was my second visit to the Captain's Bungalow. For me, it is a place for self reflection and a place to admire what nature has to offer in its raw form. People here are fantastic hosts and leave you with a come-back feel - Perumal, Kishore, Lakshmi akka, Sundaresh, Thimmanna, Anil they all pamper you with simple things but great value. Rooms are rustic and cozy. They provide Simple tasty Malnad food with Great Love - ask for customisation they will go all the way to fulfil. Dogs in the campus keep you entertained and are helpful walking partners, especially Boney and Pinky. Wherever you see there is greenery (if you crib about insects and fauna, it is not your place. This place is a part of undisturbed nature). All day orchestra by birds, peacocks and crickets. Love every bit of it here. Unfortunately some guests brought in urban noise and loud music to CB. Sad to see how some people want to live the same life in such peaceful places. Luckily they stopped it on request!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful 1BHK villa on Mattu Beach, Udupi. The spacious property is clean, well-maintained, and offers private beach access. The peaceful surroundings made it a serene experience. One can easily spot peacocks in the surroundings that added charm to the place. The villa includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom, separate toilet and bathroom with all essentials provided, making our stay very convenient. Special thanks to our host, Vivek, who stayed in touch from the moment we booked. He guided us with the best route from Bangalore and recommended great seafood spots in Mangalore and Udupi. He even insisted we try the delicious Gajbaje Sundae at Naturals – a must-try! We arrived to a warm welcome with hot tea. The caretakers were lovely and served delicious breakfast daily. Their hospitality added to the charm of our stay. Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Udupi!

We had a great time at this place. Rohit sir (Host) was very very helpful and helped us with whatever we asked for. The house is surrounded by coconut trees which provides a great feel. Neighborhood is very safe and people are friendly. The house had great vibe and our entire family enjoyed the stay. I would certainly plan a visit again to this place.

The patio is 10 steps away from the beach. The place is exactly as described in the listing. There were minimalistic but thoughtful amenities provided to make the stay very comfortable. Our stay was made lovelier by Kamala (the caretaker/cook) and her family's undivided attention. They were caring but non-intrusive. We had all the meals in the premise itself. The beach itself provided for a lot of activities. The stray dogs were very aggressive, carrying a stick helped. Other than that, the neighbourhood is quiet but not deserted.

My stay at Blissful Haven with my family from April 25-May 6, 2025 surpassed of all my expectations. Everything that was online about the apartment was as and even BETTER in person: right from the moment of reservation and after arriving at the apartment, hosts Mrs Shobha/Co Host Mr Ved were very quick to respond and were very accommodating to all of our family’s requests. The 3 bedroom apartment that we rented was beautiful, very spacious clean, modern and well-equipped and includes cleaning services (upon request) as well. The location is perfect - everything you need is literally a stone’s throw away! I cannot thank my host and the co-host enough. We all enjoyed our stay so much that I’m already considering rebooking this place for my upcoming trip later this year - these guys are that good..trust me :) If you are looking for a comfortable, feels-like-home, safe accommodation in the Udupi-Manipal area, this is it! Nice and super clean place to spend time with family the only one thing which would have fulfilled was the TV although there was WiFi was available but no doubt it a great place to stay peaceful very clean fully equipped with safe car parking Definitely I recommend to book this place thank you

We had such a fantastic time at Manu's place during our visit! His adorable house was surrounded by stunning trees and greenery, making it such a cozy spot. The four dogs were an absolute delight, and their playful antics kept us smiling the whole time. We enjoyed so much delicious food—definitely the best we've had in a while, and totally worth every bite! Manu even took us to a gorgeous nearby waterfall, showcasing his love for nature and his helpful spirit. All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

This place was a hidden gem. Location was absolutely perfect. It was across the beach which was clean unexplored and just a wide stretch of white sand ! The house was also sufficient, perfect for a large group. The pool was a good size, and added to the house. Ashok got us our supplies and made great homemade food. Also the restaurant Kaai at Nilaya stays had some great food. Only regret is we got to know about surfing lessons the night before we left ! So if you stay here please check at the reception at Nilaya stays and they will hook you up. We were on a week long road trip from Bangalore with 5 adults and 4 kids and everyone loved this place and location the best !
