Lovely, private home overlooking our beautiful valley with breathtaking views of Wills Mountain. It is the perfect setting for a family retreat/reunion. The ranch house has a red roof in the pictures. My husband & I live in the 3 story. We have a in-ground pool on property (heated from Mid-May to early September), a gas grill, and fire pit on the large scenic patio for your enjoyment. The large windows & patio offer a spectacular view of Wills Mt. The ranch house offers a quiet getaway retreat.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

Our Cottage is located at the base of a mountain on a dead end road it is very tranquil with a lot of deer that feed in the back yard. We are 15 minutes from the city of Cumberland Maryland where the “Western Maryland Bike Trail” is located and 30 minutes from historic Bedford, PA. The Cottage has two bedrooms that each feature queen size beds, one living room with a pull out queen size sofa bed, and a sitting room with a full size pull out sofa bed. Heated and cooled w/ mini splits.
