Family-friendly holiday rentals in Montmorency County

My wife and I had a wonderful stay! Our dog loved it too Great lake access, private, comfortable, and a lot to do in town as well! Highly recommend

This place is out of a dream. A perfect spot to unwind. Right on the lake. Has all the amenities. Nothing else I would change about this spot. This is my second visit and will definitely not be the last.

I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

Bailey was a great host. She was responsive and helpful when we had issues. The house was nice, clean, and spacious.

Had a great time with the kids at Edwards place. Definitely off the beaten path, 20 min drive to property driving on gravel and then dirt/sand after the gate, was a little tight between the vegetation on the path with my truck but no damage done(couple minor scratches). You'll get used to the solar power and learn to conserve, make sure to charge during the day. Amazingly beautiful property, crazy quite. We didn't see much wildlife during our stay, mostly a wide variety of birds. we rented the small boat and made it to the sandbar on Hubbard lake, if your not too familiar with boats I would rent a boat in the surrounding lakes before trying to make it by river to Hubbard lake. River is GREAT for kayak, canoe or paddle board plus you won't scare off the wildlife with the sound of the engine. Overall, we had a great time in this secluded setting and spending quality time with the kids without wifi/internet.

Great secluded stay on a lake! Home was basic, but clean and comfortable. We spent almost all our time outside on the giant lawn and, of course, the lake. It is a little out of the way to find, but instructions provided were clear. Cell coverage is spotty with Verizon. Fishing was good. The nearby town has a pretty substantial grocery store, outdoor shop, and pretty much everything we needed during our stay. Host was very helpful and responsive the whole time! We will likely look at renting again next year.

William’s cabin was stocked with everything we needed to stay 4 days while working, and playing visiting clients in Traverse City. The location was beyond what we expected and our dogs LOVED playing in the open yard and snow. We would for sure stay here again, thank you!

We had a lovely 4-day trip here. We were pleasantly surprised with how big and open the home was; it was a very comfortable stay. Also loved the row boat, dock, fire pit and kayaks. It was great to be able to brings our dogs too! We read lots of reviews about the well water but the water was fine. It’s also on a sandy lot and allows pets, so it’s as clean as you’d expect. Only thing we’d change is it isn’t quite as private as we’d like, but that’s personal preference. We would stay here again!

Best vacation get away ever. This place is perfect for unplugging and enjoying the outdoors. We wanted to extend our time at the river house and hope to make it an annual trek!

I would say its one of the few places we have stayed where it was BETTER than what the pictures showed on the listing. We loved being able to bring our dog, the waterside 3 seasons room is amazing and the use of the boat lift is essential (Mullett Lake is wide open, so on windy days, without a lift, your boat would take a beating). Neighbors close by, but hardly were encountered and when they were, all were very nice. Nice level lot and beautiful views. Previous reviews noted broken lawn chairs and unusable grill, but all chairs have been replaced and newer Weber gas grill worked great. So much to do in and around Indian River, our family just had the best time and would recommend this listing to anyone wanted to experience the Michigan North Woods.

We had a great time during our stay. The location is great on the lake and the house had everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home.

The cabin was great and had everything we needed to have an excellent week. We brought our fishing boat, and we were able to use their shorestation. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and supplied well. The view of Burt Lake from inside the cabin or from the deck was awesome. The Maple Bay boat ramp off of Brutus and Maple Bay Road is the best one to use on Burt Lake for the location of the cabin. The television did not have the Fox News Network available as well as other newsworthy stations. It would have been nice to have access to those channels. We enjoyed our stay, and we would recommend this cabin to others. Bill and Kathy from Naperville, IL.

Patricia was a wonderful host. Her home and Little Wolf Lake was more than perfect!! We enjoyed our week there soooo much. And what a great little town. She thought of everything inside and outside the home too. It is beautiful and quite frankly the nicest VRBO we've ever stayed in. A little slice of heaven very peaceful and relaxing there!! We floated in rafts on the water and paddle boated all over the lake. photographed a piliated woodpecker, blue heron, loons and captured a beautiful rainbow over the lake the last night... so stunning!! We will book again. Thanks for the wonderful vacation!!

This was an exceptional place. Very quiet Ava serene. Matt and Betsy were very accommodating, kind, and friendly. They went above and beyond providing all accommodations throughout my week stay. A+.

Had a great long weekend with friends at Elizabeth’s Airbnb. Cozy home. Very clean and comfortable. Nice open floor plan so that you can share time with friends and family. We were a group of nine and felt like we had plenty of space. Nice table for a group meals. Well equipped kitchen. Beyond the hosts control there was a lot of snow this weekend and roads were not plowed. One of our three cars had trouble getting up the hill to their Airbnb.

We wanted to find a place that could host our family that had a great view and was also private. The house is amazing and the descriptions are accurate. Scott, our main contact, was always very responsive. We felt welcome the minute we walked in. We highly recommend this place!

This home was a nice winter stay with lots of space and sleeping options for many people. The snow removal crew kept on top of things despite all the snow we were getting.
