Loved staying here for a second year in a row. The hideaway hut is tranquil and the perfect break from a busy life. Love nothing more than relaxing in the hot tub and listening to nature surrounding us. Thanks again for another perfect weekend away!

What an amazing find. An idyllic cottage with outstanding views. Janet & Mike were very hospitable and friendly and I would highly recommend booking this cottage. We were welcomed by Mike who set up the log burner for us, so lovely to have a real fire on a chilly evening. We saw lots of baby rabbits, bats, sheep, chicken and Guinea Fowl, it felt just like Snow White’s cottage. A perfect relaxing, peaceful break away with breathtaking views across the Welsh countryside.

Clare's cottage was perfect for our stay. It was very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. The location is just fantastic for exploring the wonderful valley with all it's natural wonder, and coming home to a warm fire was great.

This was our third stay at the lovely barn and I’m sure we will be back in future. Lots of character, beautiful, peaceful surroundings with a few pubs within a couple of miles walk. Diana was a great host as ever, overall another very enjoyable stay.

Graham and Pip’s place is a real gem, the accommodation is gorgeous. In beautiful surroundings, with wonderful wildlife to enjoy, fabulous walks on your doorstep, a place of calm and serenity. So many places to visit are within easy driving reach, whatever your preferred activity there are mountains, canals and rivers to enjoy and there’s no shortage of options for good food. Graham is a lovely host, helpful and welcoming, he makes you feel at home right away. We would love to stay here again.

We loved the rural setting of Lizzy’s place right in the heart of the hills we were hoping to explore. Lizzy was on hand if we needed to ask anything but the apartment and the information we had already received was more than adequate - a cosy spot to return to after a long walk. And a good shower too.

The Cider Shack was wonderful! Everything is well laid out and comfortable. It was really peaceful and I especially enjoyed being able to take a bath outside looking out over the countryside. Considering it's an outdoorsy kind of place I expected some dirt and bugs, but it was completely spotless. The water pressure and temperature everywhere was great and it was one of the best showers I've experienced in an Airbnb. Laura was a fantastic host...very quick to respond to messages, and happy to pop by and say hello or completely leave you to it. She also left a few welcome gifts which were greatly appreciated.

Wow! Sophia’s place is gorgeous! We had a wonderful time roaming the nearby hills and rivers always safe in the knowledge that we could return to the warm embrace of such a characterful, cosy and well appointed home.

I stayed with all the family and we had a wonderful time. the views are stunning and the surroundings are so peaceful, with a few bleating sheep nearby which was nice. The accommodation was beautiful and well thought out with outdoor facilities and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. we all loved playing family board games that were kindly provided in the games chest. our favourite was 90s Bingo 😄. We found some lovely cafes nearby and felt their was plenty to do to keep all the family happy. We thoroughly enjoyed retreating back to the hot tub in an evening. Sheri was very responsive and helpful. We all had a lovely stay, overall it was very welcoming, it felt luxurious and very relaxed. We will definitely be returning! Thanks Sheri for a great stay.

Breathtaking views and a very peaceful stay. Very welcoming and helpful hosts - Clive met us at the library to show us how to navigate the roads on the way up before showing us round. Highly recommend.

Me and my partner Ant and doggie Freddie-Bear had an amazing stay at this very special Airbnb. Stunning location. Beautiful interiors. The best hosting ever!! So responsive, friendly and thoughtful. They even gave us lots of little vegan free bits for kitchen as knew we didn’t eat meat/dairy. So sweet. We made such good use of the whole space, inside and out and I highly recommend it! (Top tip - Bring an eye mask!). Dean gave us a great intro tour and Pat was always on hand with fast responses and recommendations that were super helpful! Such a special weekend! Thankyou both so so much!

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage at Mill Meadow. It really is a beautiful place. The pigmy goats, alpacas & chickens are a lovely addition and we were welcomed to help feed them. Clare & Zubair are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The hot tub was fantastic the best i’ve experienced at any airbnb and the bedrooms were lovely and comfy and had 3 great nights sleep. Usk is a lovely town and we had an outstanding lunch in the Greyhound Inn. Cannot wait to return in the near future. Thank you both.

Spent 3 nights here and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Lesley and Martin we perfect hosts making sure that we had everything we needed and checking how our day had been each day. Also plenty of local recommendations The accommodation was just as described, if not more, with a welcome fruit bowl, Welsh cakes, milk, tea, coffee and even chocolates on your pillow. Was lovely to relax in a hot bath after a long day out, again with toiletries provided. we were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the evening sunshine when we could. Lesley's directions were easy to follow and the accommodation is within easy reach of Abergavenny, for local amenities and plenty of nearby walks or paddles either along the beautiful Brecon and Monmouthshire canal or nearby Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains

We stayed for a beautiful weekend at John’s idyllic and picturesque countryside retreat surrounded by greenery, hills and horses. John was a wonderful host! Friendly, communicative and kind, he offered us lots of local tips about the surrounding area, and we even got to try some of his fresh rainbow eggs. The atmosphere was so peaceful, perfect for us and our dog - who loved it there - and we hope to come back soon with some friends to stay in the larger cabin. Thanks so much John, we couldn’t recommend more!

We had a wonderful stay here for a long weekend as two families. Photos don’t do the house justice - a beautiful converted barn with spectacular views and garden! We couldn’t believe how peaceful and private the location was, with comfortable bedrooms and a (incredibly!) well-supplied kitchen full of all the pots, pans and utensils you’d ever need! We loved the outdoor seating area and patio in the sunshine and made use of the BBQ while we had great weather. Hosts James and Emma offered great communication and arrival instructions, thank you for a wonderful stay - we’d highly recommend!

Me and my girlfriend loved our stay in daisy lodge. Such a lovely place to stay feeling right at home. Not far from Abergavenny town which has a lovely high street. The lodge was as seen in the photos and even though we knew Claire and Justin were there when we needed, it was perfect and didn’t need any help. Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

We had a fantastic stay – such a peaceful spot in the stunning Welsh countryside. The kids especially enjoyed Linda Vista Gardens and Garwnant Forest, and Mum loved the challenge of climbing Pen y Fan. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we’d definitely recommend a meal at the Hunters Moon Inn. A lovely, relaxing break – thank you!

Fishers Retreat is idyllic, sweet against a mountain backdrop with a lake and nearby waterfall it has all the nature you could wish for. The barn itself is beautiful, clean and had lots of thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers. The bed was very xomfortable, the water very hot, the baths deep and the log burner very efficient. We travelled to and from the Hay Festival in about 30 mins. Katy and David are charming, book the fan place, you won't regret it.

This is an idyllic find, in a glorious setting, in a very pretty and totally secure garden. The barn conversion is pleasantly furnished in a simple comtemporary style, and there is everything you need, all well thought through. All the family members we met were charming and helpful. We are really looking forward to another visit.

The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The host answered all our questions promptly. There was useful information about what to do and where to eat. We had a great time celebrating a significant birthday with family and friends, in a very pretty part of Wales.

The photos don't do the place justice. I was blown away on arrival. What a gem of a find! Rachel was proactive and communication was great. We absolutely loved our stay here. The place was immaculate upon arrival and the house is kitted out with everything you would want and need. Great location if you want to explore the area too.
