You can just relax in the rural retreat or explore the local area, where you will find, wild swimming, hiking in the Black Mountains, Forest of Dean or the scenic Wye Valley. There are many outdoor activities. eateries & independent shops. Just perfect for relaxing or exploring.

Oak Cottage - an inclusive peaceful haven

A very central yet peaceful apartment offering gracious rooms. Although this is part of our home, when guests come they have exclusive use of these rooms originally set apart as my mother’s annex. The large lounge has comfortable furniture and opens to a small kitchen with room to dine. The two bedrooms have bathrooms - upstairs bedroom has limited headroom and the bathroom is separated by a curtain. Sunroom opens to a shared pool May to Sept and has two sofa beds. Surrounded by the lovingly maintained gardens of Buckstone House, the Coach House is a showcase of antique furniture, exposed beams and home comforts. Without leaving the grounds you can play tennis, take a dip in the swimming pool and laze in the sun. This hidden gem has the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean on its doorstep, waiting to be explored.

The log house is unique. Tucked between garden and orchard with views and use of natural swimming pool and infrared sauna. Ensuite with fully fitted kitchen, double bed or twins, log burner, fire pit BBQ, patio. Set within 140 acres of Trealy Farm - a very special place set on a hillside with stunning views to the Black Mountains. Secluded, peaceful and full of wild beauty yet easy access from major roads. To preserve the peacefulness and for H & S reasons Trealy is an adult only space.

1 Bed in Abergavenny (oc-bn113)

Set along a small country lane 1,000 feet above sea level, the cottage has breathtaking views and makes a wonderful base for spotting buzzards and red kites. Climbers, walkers and mountain bikers will have plenty to explore. There are numerous walks from the cottage, with the summit of Sugar Loaf offering panoramic views over the Cotswolds, the Brecon Beacons and the Bristol Channel. The thriving town of Abergavenny (4 miles) has a fantastic range of great pubs, restaurants, and cafes.

If you are a family or group don’t be put off - the second bedroom is also gorgeous with a king size, zip link bed & another en-suite.

Green Hat Stays - Chepstow - Harvax House

This impressive 10-person (including infants) property offers never-ending luxury in the delightful market town of Chepstow. This Monmouthshire town is a fantastic choice for South Wales escapes, home to the crumbling ruins of a medieval castle, the famous Chepstow Racecourse and handsome town filled with cafes, pubs and independent boutiques. It sits at the base of the Wye Valley, with the River Wye running through the town and offering an easy-to-follow pathway.

Original Showman’s Waggon near Offas Dyke

A beautiful and original 1900’s Showman’s Waggon in the heart of a traditional welsh farmstead close to the Offas Dyke footpath. This Waggon has been sympathetically restored retaining many period featured including a magnificently painted ceiling. It is completely off grid without compromising on comfort or facilities. It has a wood burning stove, an induction hob, kettle and cool box. There is a separate bathroom with shower and state of the art compost loo.

A delightful two bedroom cottage detached from our property set in an idyllic, unspoilt valley overlooking a large natural swimming pool. Located in-between the towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth and nestled within view of the black mountains from our lane. We are close to the Offa's Dyke and the Three Castles walks. 'The Halfway' pub is 3/4 mile down our lane. Abergavenny is known as the ‘food capital’ of Wales and boasts some superb restaurants nearby.
