In beautiful surroundings with forest, pasture and views of water, it is arranged for accommodation and activities. The farm is quiet and secluded. Around the farm there is the possibility for short and long trips. 800 m from the house there is a small lake where you can swim and fish in the summer, or just enjoy the silence. In the Activity Barn there is the possibility of training, billiards, table tennis, long tables and sofa corner. Experienced riders can rent a horse for a ride. Sjusjøen, Lillehammer and Moelv are about 20 minutes away.

To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 mins. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer sleigh rides and ski instruction on cross-country skiing in the winter, please contact us if you are interested.

In winter you have access to great ski slopes, almost right outside the door. The summer offers nice hikes in great scenery, with several hiking trails and viewpoints. The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen bench, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

If you cross the road you come straight to a beautiful park area by the lake, Næra. Here you can fish, swim or realax and enjoy the sunset. We also offer our guests kayak and canoes to rent for free. In Næroset it is also great opportunities for outdoor hiking and cross country skiing in the winter. Only 20 minutes away is Sjusjøen
