Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Miyazaki

Kaori (Isao's daughter) warmly welcomed us by showing us all the details of the accommodation, what to do nearby and especially booked a restaurant for dinner, at a late hour (when it's hard to find open ones). He also gave us an envelope of his favorite ☕️ green tea ❤️ Wanky house is a bungalow with Mt. Magnificent, and from the terrace you can admire a 360° view while sipping a tea or beer. If possible, stay more than 2 nights if you like to explore nature! The local 1 carriage train is nice.

It was a good stay for 2 nights with our kid. He enjoyed the books and activities in the room. The room was clean and spacious, good enough for our stay. This place is one of many tiny cabins on a managed property. There is a communal kitchen and coin laundry on site. There's also a sauna. I appreciate the parking space as well. The property manager met with me after a digital check in and showed me the amenities available. I recommend this place if you are going to be in the area.

Travel with friends. The room is very cozy. The owner should be a very lover of life. There is a message book in the room. It is very interesting to see people who look at the five lakes and four seas. It is very interesting. There is a large balcony suitable for drinking and chatting at night. It is very close to the bus stop. The surrounding environment is also very nice and suitable for walking. Some shortcomings are that the stairs upstairs are steep. The curtain in the room is not very light. In short, it is very good comment.

We really enjoyed our time at Tim’s apartment. The apartment itself is perfect for two people - it’s quiet, comfortable, and has a relaxing vibe. The location is central and perfect for exploring the surrounding natural wonders. Highly recommend eating some delicious deserts at the family run cafe downstairs too. Tim also provided us with great recommendations for visiting Sakurajima and other nearby areas. We’d gladly stay here again in the future!

We had the most magical stay in this absolutely charming village. The location is a dream—just a few steps from the beach, where we spent our mornings and evenings soaking up the views. The home itself is a total gem—thoughtfully designed, maintained with love, and filled with such a cozy, inviting energy. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease and right at home. And the hosts? Truly the sweetest people ever! They've thought of every little detail to make your stay feel effortless and special. Their kindness, attentiveness, and seamless communication made everything feel smooth and stress-free. We felt genuinely cared for. Everyone in the village was so welcoming and kind too. You don’t need a car to stay here (although it is more convenient). We were able to explore the coast by train. The views from the train were stunning. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already dreaming of our return.

This is my 1st time booking a Japanese airbnb, have to submit Passport details for all the guests which was a first for me. A few steps required to go through to complete the booking, Other than that the place was spotless, convenient to park the car at the place itself which was a bonus. The challenge is the room is on the 2nd floor and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Not for elderly or those with kids. Thank you

Emi’s place was lovely for our stay in Hyuga. Emi provided us with local recommendations, including the local katsu spot, which we loved! Highly recommend Emi’s accommodation!

We had a great stay at Darren & Eiko’s place. Walkable to Aoshima Shrine and the beach is just across the street. Lots of restaurants during the day but had difficulty finding places open for dinner. The condo is very clean with plenty of space. We were a couple but a family with 1 or 2 children could easily also be comfortable.
