Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mitaka

We enjoyed our stay at Yoko's place. Close to both subway and train stations. Very safe neighborhood even as we walked home at 11pm thru the back alley. We had little issue with locating the address but it is due to us not being familiar with Japan. Yoko responded right away when I messaged her and it was a smooth sailing after that. We would definitely rent her place in the future.

Wouw it couldn't be any better!! masa is such a nice guy and very welcoming! upon arriving we felt welcome, he explained everything and went his way. he had answers for every question we had and helped us to the best of his ability. upon arriving we gave him some Dutch gifts ( fridge magnet of a wooden shoe with tulips and a pack of stroopwafels) this shook him but he accepted it with a smile from ear to ear! the accommodation was clean and well taken care of, plenty of room for 2 people and really close to Ebara-machi station, which we used the most to get around. friendly people around Ota and the 7-11 around the corner is also very helpful! next time we are planning to stay longer! Domo arigato gozaimasu masa-san!

The pool, BBQ and sauna were super comfortable, and I was happy to have a bicycle.

Spacious, cosy & stylish. Enormous living room with beautiful long table and work/play room with board games. Bedrooms with large wardrobes, firm beds but pillows are low, host is kind enough to provide backups. It is on 2nd floor so prepare to climb a few steps. Entrance may be a bit tricky to locate at first, especially at night. Walkable to 7-11, drug store, public bath, supermarket & Jindaiji. Bus to Keio Chofu st. (to Shinjuku) or JR Mitaka or Kichijoji st. (to Tokyo & Akihabara), Inokashira Park & Ghibli Museum. Driving-wise it's next to Chofu IC of Chuo Expressway, so you can drive to Shinjuku in 30 mins w/o traffic. Plenty cooking utensils. Soundproof is wonderful - barely any noise from nearby highway, but could feel vibration sometimes. While it can cater 6+ pax, it has only 1 bathroom which may be inconvenient to larger party. Smooth & swift communication with hosts. Recommend to anyone wants to stay in bigger & well-kept house within reasonable distance from proper Tokyo.

It was a great place for us. A little small for 8 people and no sitting area but the host was so responsive and the location was ideally located near a train station. The air conditioning was strong and the showers were spacious. Thank you so much for hosting us. We would definitely come back to this place again.

My family and I were very impressed with Masato’s place! It was huge, clean and very near to the train station! Bed and pillows were very comfortable which had alot of praises from my family as well! Train station was merely a 5 mins walk away with a local super-mart along the way. Masato-san had been very responsive when we have questions and always provide us with the best recommendations. Thank you for making us feel like home during the period!

Great location as a central point to visit the Tokyo area. Check in was easy, the host always responsive, friendly and proactive. The one bedroom has 3 double beds in it, plus a sleeper sofa, and if full (8 people) the apartment would be cramped, however it's ideal for 2-3 people to move around in comfortably. The apartment is truly a 5 minute walk to the train station and a variety of restaurants and shops. Most highly recommended as a place to stay.

I really like this place. At first, I thought it might be a little far, but the public transportation is very convenient. The host is very nice and attentive. If I have the chance to come to Japan, I will definitely choose this place!!!

The place is super clean and put together. We really enjoyed the stay. The place was comfy and had a really nice interior design. The room on floor level was a cute touch to experience traditional Japanese style. Then going upstairs, there were 2 beds for more room and we liked having the ac upstairs since it was a bit toasty without it. It was a fun place to stay, I would stay here again!

Clean, quiet, and very well appointed home. It was obvious the host took great care to try and think of every detail to make this a comfortable stay. He was exceptionally responsive and also helped me with some of my trip plans when I asked. It was greatly appreciated! It is not close to the center of the city, which wasn’t always convenient but I would not have wanted to stay in the heart of bustling Shibuya, so it really comes down to preference.

Great base for exploring Tokyo. There is lots to do and see in the area, with great transport links to the more touristy areas. The apartment is quiet, comfortable and has everything you'll need for a few days or a few weeks.

We often stay in Nishi-Ogikubo and we highly recommend Hiro at Live In Asia. Hiro is always responsive and friendly and makes you feel you're in good hands. This unit is right near the station, which we loved as it is so convenient for getting around. There is a direct line to Shinjuku if you'd like the busy vibe. Although we enjoy the great atmosphere of Nishi-Ogikubo. Shinpo is an outstanding local fish restaurant. You'll have to pop in to reserve and perhaps if you're not a Japanese speaker, check out what's available to order online. Also Wine & Bar Corks is the best nightcap spot. Thank you, Hiro. The home was peaceful, clean, and aesthetically appealing. All the amenities we needed were available, and the instructions on how to use the appliances were clear. It was tiring walking back to the house after a long day of touring, but the location is still great given that the area was not short of restaurants, groceries, and drugstores. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. They granted our request for early check-in and provided a storage for us to leave our luggages after check-out.

Perfect stay! Extremely close to Oedo line. Walkable distance to Shinjuku. Clean, spacious, safe. Jun was also very kind and responsive. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

Family of 3 (with a 2 year old). Couldn’t have asked for a better location to stay. Two large supermarkets with fresh food literally across the road, lots of options for a quick local meal. Short journey (15-30min) by express railway with minimal transfers to shibuya, shinjuku, daikanyama, nakameguro, aoyama etc. (but conversely further to get to the other side of Tokyo). Railway station is 5 min walk away, easily accessible for strollers etc. The house is lovely. Spacious (more than photos show), with balcony and rooftop for private open areas. Full amenities provided. Kitchen, aircon/heating. As mentioned in other reviews, given its proximity to the station/shopping centre, there is street noise into the night/early morning - but earplugs are provided! Cot provided was great for our toddler, and bathtub easy to run for washes. Small space at bottom of stairs to store your stroller overnight (behind private locked gate). recommend this place for the reasons above!

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

Lovely little appartment in a calm neighboorhood. Kami-kitazawa station is at 2 minutes walk from the airbnb and it’s pretty easy to travel to more central areas from there (shibuya and shinjuku for example). Lots of restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets which spared us a lot of time when trying to find something. Only detail is the train that passes by is kind of loud but we slept well nonetheless. Would come back to this place.

Superb stay in Shimokitazawa. We really loved the area (enough going on but not as mental as Shibuya). The apartment was a great base for a few days and the tub was a bonus. Thanks, would stay again ⭐️

Great location. Super clean and comfortable. Responsive host and easy check in/out. Sho even left two beers in the fridge for my travel mate and I! Being that it is Japan, the place is a bit small. Perfect for solo travelers or a group of two. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us but just consider before bringing more people or large amounts of luggage. This place is great! Thank you, Sho!
