Holiday rentals with a kayak in Missouri River

We had multiple families staying here for state trap and it was perfect! Blue house had ample room and our boys loved the hot tub, arcade games, and river access. Everything was extremely clean and thoughtfully stocked. The host even supplied fresh flowers and a fruit basket.

I stayed here with family for a North Shore getaway. This place was gorgeous, spacious, private, and quiet! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and ample shared spaces for cooking, watching movies, and relaxing together. We loved the proximity to Grand Marais and all the great North Shore hiking spots. The pizza oven was a blast to try out and I used the provided telescope to look at the beautiful full moon. If you’re looking for a private spot with family or friends to enjoy views of Lake Superior, look no further! We can’t wait to come back.

Joanne was a great communicator and her home was lovely and perfect for a family gathering. We appreciated the tea and coffee she had available as well. We would stay again!

This is the third or so year we've stayed here. The location is convenient, the space is very comfortable, and they have everything we need to prepare a decent meal (or eat takeout pizza).

Super quirky cabin with everything you need. Great comms, easy check in and a great very interesting town. get a steak from the grocery store, the awesomeness cannot be overrated!

House was very large and clean. The fenced backyard was perfect for kids and dogs. Location could not have been better. Close to manitou springs, Colorado Springs and lots of attractions. There is an awesome trail just steps from the front door that leads you up the mountain to waterfalls. Host was helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at David's Airbnb. David met us outside, and welcomed us. The cottage was really lovely. It was clean, and nicely furnished, with a beautiful view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable. The weather was perfect, so we spent the evening sitting outside enjoying the view. I would love to stay again.

We can't say enough good things about Josh and our stay. We liked the clear instructions, cleanliness of the cottage and the at home feel of waking up by the river again. Thank you for everything, Josh!

This was the perfect place for a group of six women to unwind and relax. The place had all we needed. We didn’t even leave once we arrived. Plenty of room and yet cozy enough to sit and visit.

The cabin was easy to find and has the most amazing views! We came at the end of the season for a family reunion but I’m sure during the summer this place is even more stunning!! Since it was off season we got to bring our dogs and they loved the area and all the fun smells. The main road outside of the resort was great for walks! The cabin was clean, had a great internet connection, and being so close to the water was awesome. My husband was able to catch some small fish right off the dock outside our cabin, which was fun! If given the opportunity we would stay again!

Enjoyed the welcoming by hosts, coziness, peaceful and private location near Half Moon lake. Beautiful sunsets, night sky, and nearby hiking trails we explored. Provides necessary amenities for a very enjoyable stay! Look forward to booking again.

When we walked in the door it was like stepping into your home. It was so warm and inviting. The surroundings are beautiful and calming. We felt so at peace here. Jacob and Eddie responded to every message almost immediately. We took the paddle boat out and got to see even more of the beautiful lake. I can’t begin to describe how perfect our stay was. I would give them 100 stars if I could. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy, relaxing, cabin getaway, this is your place! Saw and heard loons every day/night, which is always cool. Very easy to relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and scenery, highly recommend!

Had a lovely time at Taryn’s cabin! Our favorite part was watching the sunset from the screened in porch. Beautiful! There was plenty of fire wood and kitchen utensils were expertly stocked!! We loved all the ceramic bowls and plates. The decor was darling and inside was well appointed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable! Be wary of the buggy season, they were out in full force come nightfall. We will definitely be back!

For a girl that loves architecture, design and the outdoors this house was a dream come true!

Absolutely a wonderful weekend getaway! The cabin is well designed, but also functional if you enjoy cooking at home or bringing in takeout. We love the private lake and amenities like the sauna and hot tub. Don't hesitate to book! Very responsive and understanding host! Seems like they care about the place!

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

The Backwater was an amazing location for our girls' getaway. We love the water and the outdoors, and the cabin provided the perfect combination of natural surroundings and creature comforts. Most of the weekend was spent on the screened-in porch, listening to the birds and frogs. There are multiple comfortable and beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor gathering spaces; we needed more time to enjoy them all! The location is quiet and peaceful, and we even enjoyed watching a fawn walk through the yard. The house is beautifully decorated with unique and interesting items that serve as conversation starters. We even found a circus book containing pictures of our family's old circus posters from years ago! The scavenger hunt was great fun, but we didn't manage to find everything on the list. Sarah is an amazing host. She responded to questions quickly and provided everything that we needed. The kitchen is well-stocked. It's also a short drive to town for any forgotten items.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this cabin! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and more—every detail was thoughtfully considered. The location was perfect: peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we wanted to explore. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The amenities were top-notch, and the views were simply breathtaking. Whether we were relaxing inside or enjoying the outdoors, everything was just perfect. The hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive, making sure we had a seamless experience from start to finish. Highly recommend—this place exceeded all our expectations!

The yard was large and great for kids. We picked a rainy weekend but enjoyed the kayaks when it wasn't raining and enjoyed the full windows in the living room when it was raining. Several good places locally to get food or drinks. Good brewery near the river in Council Grove. My kids enjoyed the Ping-Pong table and kayaks the most.

We loved our stay at this beautiful and very private cabin. Obviously the photos are gorgeous and we knew we were going to love the overall feel, but it truly is wonderful being there. The giant windows open to the lake view and surrounding woods is heaven and are the part that I miss the most now that we're home. We really liked the fact that the cabin has a lived in feel (in the best way). I was worried that it would be TOO perfect and I wouldn't want to touch anything. LOVED the sauna so so much and it was beyond amazing that our lab was able to come with us. They had all the kitchen appliances/tools you'd need and having life jackets to use was awesome. I think reviews are such a good way to gain feedback from guests so I'll just list a few improvements/preferences here: softer sheets, a scissors, and a mop/swiffer to keep the floors clean. This cabin was very very tranquil and quiet during the week which is exactly what we were hoping for. We'd love to come back in the winter!
