Monthly Rentals in Midtown Manhattan

Great extended stay here - very nicely furnished/decorated, quiet building, and location can't be beat. Some small issues with maintenance going on but Hilary was quick to respond and take care of things. Feels just like you're living in your own place in NYC. Proper one bedroom, felt pretty spacious and has a very nice kitchen if you care to cook. Would definitely recommend.

Great place and great place!

I had a wonderful time. I was in New York City for about 6 weeks over a 2.5 month period and rented the room for the entire time. The building was a spectacular 150 year old Brownstone in a wonderful neighborhood in the mid-/upper-east side. It was a relatively quite neighborhood and was easy to get around the entire city. The Rear Library room had great ambiance, was clean, and was a perfect place for this relatively short term stay. Lia, the owner was accommodating and very helpful when I planned the trip and during my stay. If I every have a similar need for a rental in New York City, I will stay at 1871 House again.

I had a wonderful stay at this place in New York! The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Penn Station, which made getting around the city super convenient. The place had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I really appreciated their hospitality. Highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting NYC.
