Our guest suite is in a quiet residential area in Balerno; a village at the foot of the scenic Pentland Hills. A beautiful spot for walkers and nature lovers. To visit the city take a 25 minute car drive or the 44 Lothian bus at the end of the road for a 45 min bus ride to Edinburgh City Centre. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea and sugar plus cereal for your first breakfast. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafe & takeaways within a short walk. A parking spot on the drive is available on request.

Beautiful walks, private stay, self check-in

The Mill, formerly the sawmill for Borthwick Hall, is a charming property built in the 1800s. The conversion of the building was completed in 2003 and is now a wonderful family home. My husband, Steve, and I moved up to Scotland from London in December 2017 and absolutely love it up here. With lovely people and beautiful open spaces, it’s the perfect place for us to relax and raise our kids. We love having friends and family visit and look forward to offering our space to guests as well.

Little Linton

****Edinburgh council have added a visitor tax as of July 2026 so I will need to increase my nightly fee to account for this! Situated in the peaceful and leafy Colinton Village, we have an annex attached to our house for your stay with your own entrance. We feel it offers country views out to the Pentland hills yet we are easily accessible to the airport and centre of town. We have a double bedroom and small sitting room and private bathroom for your stay. Tea, coffee and toaster provided.

This is a large double bedroom suite with relaxing sitting area, double bed and dressing table in the sleeping area, dressing room and shower room. It is part of an old steading has access to on to grassy areas that over look a paddock. The access to all of central Scotland is ideal from this property particularly Edinburgh Airport and the M9/M8 links and the city bypass. although we are close to Edinburgh city this old farm maintains a rural feel and offers a home away from home feel.

The “Wendy House” is a self contained studio for 2 accessed from an outside stair and is very private and only for your use. The Wendy House is 'Covid 19' compliant and friendly and we will respect social distancing at all times with you - starting when we first greet you. The space has a new double bed and a newly installed shower room. There is tea, coffee, milk, bread rolls and yogurt in a small fridge - so you can breakfast in the space or in the garden as you wish.
