Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Midlothian

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! While the area feels secluded, it is only a short drive from local restaurants and amenities. It is 30 minutes from Edinburgh so it's an ideal place to stay if planning to visit without paying what you would in the city. There is quite literally a view of a castle from your doorstep. Amazing! We wouldn't think twice about booking again!

Good location in suburb of Edinburgh. Easy walk to bus into Edinburgh and small park with play equipment, football field, and short walking trail. Bus also stops near many stores. Nice neighborhood feel. House was clean, comfortable.

Would highly recommend staying in this lovely home! It is in a great location if visiting the area! Only 8 minutes from park and ride into Edinburgh and local walks on door step. The house is lovely with large bedrooms and lounge/ dining area

lovely place to stop before hitting Edinburgh. love the football field right in front of the house. walkable to coop groceries. all stuffs functioning well.

I could not recommend Henrietta’s place more highly. The house and surrounding area are even more beautiful than the pictures. We found the taxi service the best way to reach Edinburgh. We would defiantly book again!

The house was even larger than the photos suggested. It is a beautiful renovated old farm building, not far out of Edinburgh but completely rural. The surroundings are very peaceful with plenty of walks. The bedrooms, bathrooms and living area are all comfortable and light, suited our purposes (work). We enjoyed a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, not far away.

What a beautiful place to stay for a family visit to Edinburgh. This 5 bed house sits right next to a loch but is also only 10 minutes from 2 supermarkets and numerous take aways and restaurants. A 30 minute drive into Edinburgh was manageable and straightforward also. The owners, Theresa and David live next door and were friendly and helpful. I could not fault this stay at all, it was just what we wanted. Thank you so much, Theresa and David.

Great location and place to stay. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and visited Edinburgh on the park and ride at Newcraigshall. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh as a family.

From the minute we stepped in the door we wanted to stay longer than we had booked! Frederika and Agnes were super flexible about dropping off luggage earlier in the day, and the apartment was lovely .... excellent finishes, comfortable beds, plenty of room for the 5 of us to hang out. We enjoyed the pool and were sorry our schedule didn't allow us to climb to the rooftop terrace. The bathtubs were huge and the shower heads modern and very much loved by my weary gang. There are great little Italian restaurants and a bakery within a blocks of the apartment, and the Co-op (a block away) has an excellent selection of fresh and frozen food. It was an easy walk to the Tram and a variety of coffee shops as well. The apartment overlooks the square where you can take a picnic lunch or dinner onto the green space - also no time to do but a great feature. I will definitely be back!!!

Great site with good bus service and directly opposite the beach. Mobile home is in good position with spacious living area. Good double room, twin room a bit tight but the grandchildren loved it and the Highland Cow theme; so much so they’ve bought plush toys to remind them of their holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s cosy holiday caravan! From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home. The caravan was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special thank you to Mary for being such an attentive and thoughtful host—especially for quickly refilling the gas cylinders when needed. It made such a difference and showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests’ comfort. Mary, you’re the best host we’ve ever had 😀, and we’d absolutely love to visit again. Highly recommended! Scots place was beautiful. Lots to do inside and outside. Kids had lot of fun as there were toys scooter and bike. There was colouring books and pens card games kids did not get enough time as we only booked for one night. Scott was kind and he extended our check out. Kids made the most out of it. Not far away from Edinburgh castle which was our holiday plans to explore Edinburgh city. Clean kitchen and toilet and shower. We had everything we needed in the caravan. Thanks Scott for making the one night stay comfortable. You are a star

We stayed here to watch family members doing the Edinburgh marathon and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed and location-wise. The children loved the pool and playground and proximity to the beach was ideal. The caravan was cosy and had everything we needed! Thanks so much!

Only stayed one night in Priscilla, while visiting friends in Edinburgh. Had everything we needed, felt safe to walk the doggy in the wee hours, and was a peaceful night's sleep. Great communication and a great host - thanks!

Lovely comfortable mobile home and wonderful location close to woodland walks and the beaches and a short drive to Edinburgh Lucy was great to communicate with and so helpful about everything Thank you !!!

David's and Melanie's place was really good. We stayed there for 2 night and we really enjoyed it. The place is 25 mins away from Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport too. I'd definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Edinburgh.

Lovely neighborhood, though a bit of a walk to main street

We had a lovely time. Close to public transport to Edinburgh and a short drive to the coast. The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly/communicative host. Very comfy bed and everywhere very clean. Pet friendly which for us is a big plus.

We had a very comfortable 4 night stay at the cottage. It was very warm and tidy, it felt homely. The beds were extremely comfortable. The views were beautiful and my children loved watching the deer. The cottage has everything you need.

The cottage is very clean and tidy with a lovely garden and very spacious. The parking is outside the property next to the road We just had to be careful with getting our dogs in and out the car But grateful there is parking with the accommodation. kitchen facilities are very limited. No coffee machine No welcome pack just UHT milk packet coffee It would of been nice to have a few welcome treats . Communication very good I would recommend this lovely Cottage

Really enjoyed our stay home from home,comfortable well equipped apartment,nicely positioned close to airport appropriately 15 minutes and about same distance to city centre with bus stop outside apartment

We stayed at Lilianas for 4 x weeks and it was the perfect accommodation. It's dog friendly which our doodle Dennis loved. There's a bug garden (shared) out the back which was a little suntrap so lovely to sit in and have Dennis run around. Liliana was a great host and great with communication. The location was really good with lots of bars, restaurants, places to walk and lots of bus links.

Neil's house was great, very spacious and tidy. It has everything you need for a great stay and is very close to Edinburgh. If you come by car, you will be about 25 minutes from Edinburgh.
