Beachfront holiday rental in Mendocino County

The River View House was wonderful! Very quiet and peaceful - great for the 7 guests we brought. The river was fun for a quick dip once in a while. The home was clean and spacious. Plenty of linens, towels, and kitchen dishes for us. Nancy was super responsive and helpful. We are planning to come back to the same rental again! We didn’t add on the studio, but likely will next time if we have more guests or more than 2 couples.

Such a beautiful, secluded stay. We brought all our food and cooked in the well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. We loved the pool table and piano upstairs. The beach is stunning. And the view — second to none! Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful views and flowers. Studio apartment was as advertised with a good lay out. Location near Noyo harbor with excellent crab from Princess was a bonus. Overall we would love to stay there again

Amazing views, clean, cozy. Hot tub was the best. Comfy bed and we had everything we needed. This is a cottage and it looks like maybe someone lives in the main house but we didn’t see anyone. It was 6 minutes from down town Gualala. Definitely going back, it’s perfect for two people.

This place was absolutely a gem. Brenda made us feel welcomed immediately when we got there. She then led us to the fishing cabin which had amazing views. Overall this was such an amazingly private and gorgeous location. We will absolutely be back.

We loved it here it was such a beautiful place huge backyard and front yard my dog loved both of them we walk to the beach it was nice it was a bit of a walk we plan on making this a yearly trip!!

We had a wonderful week. We all agreed that our favorite things were the large and open kitchen, living room and dining room because we were able to all be together for the whole week. We also loved the pool and sitting in the chairs overlooking the lake. It felt just like we were on a boat looking out. The kitchen is large and great for large families cooking together. Steve is a great communicator and gets back to you so quickly. My whole family loved everything about this house.

The view from this house is absolutely stunning, it's better than most viewpoints and tourist spots on the coast. It's even better than the photos. It's also surrounded by lots of flowers and animals around, so the whole place is really peaceful. We stayed with a baby and we were very comfortable cooking in the large kitchen and chilling in the house for most/all of the day. A small general store and cafe are a 1-minute walk away. I feel lucky to have stayed here!

The location of the RV is great, it's walking distance from a tranquil beach and you can hear the seals barking at night as you're in the RV. It's also nestled between Mendocino and Fort Bragg with tons to do and see. We really appreciated Joyce's help when we couldn't figure out the heat since we had never stayed in an RV before. Easy to find if you are arriving during the daytime. We arrived at night and had some trouble, so I would recommend getting there in the day. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!!

From my mother who stayed here with my family for my wedding at Switzer Farm: “Westport is a lovely little town and Westport landing did not disappoint. It is a wonderful home that you can tell is loved by its owners. We loved waking up listening to the ocean and the views were breathtaking. There is everything you need in this home. Fully equipped kitchen, toys , puzzles and activities for kids. There is even a piano for those of you that play. We didn’t spend a lot of time exploring the outdoors because we were there for a wedding but I’m sure that would be fabulous. We did enjoy watching the cute family of foxes living behind the home that visited us on a daily basis. Our 4 year old granddaughter commented on the way out how much she would miss them. Magical home and magical wedding. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.”

This home is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, private, and offering breathtaking views that made our stay feel like a true escape. The beach below is easy to reach, wonderfully secluded, and felt like a hidden gem. It’s also super dog-friendly—our pup had a blast and even learned to use the doggy door! The house was perfect for a couples’ getaway, but I’m already looking forward to coming back with a few friends. A big plus: the property manager was very responsive and kindly accommodated a slightly later check-out, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

Stayed with my wife. Weather was chilly with fog and marine layer in late evening/morning. The highlights: The driveway looks like it leads to a house and garage but forks around it. Keep going until it ends! • View/ambiance was outstanding! Great from the patio or couch, perfect sunset views! • Walking to the beach entails a somewhat sketchy staircase and crossing a small lake. If you’re adventurous, you’ll be fine (a Kayak is available). Otherwise, that view tho… • Bathroom was great (even for two) and towels provided. But, Bring soap! • Bed was comfortable, bedding kept us toasty despite the chilly night. Room can be made dark which was great! • Kitchen - unsure, we opted to bring/reheat food. Turned out we could have cooked though! •Plenty of wifi on site, easy access to the room (no hassle on check-in). •Morning coffee, from the patio, watching the waves, under a blanket: Bliss! A bit pricey but definitely worth the splurge! Thank you, Bruce!

This is our second stay at Deryl's AirBnB . My family loves the location with its the ocean view, beach next door, and the spacious house that gives us all plenty of room, plus a nice big dining room table to share meals and play games. The kitchen is well-appointed and everything is very neat and clean. Deryl is also a very gracious and understanding host. It all makes for a very relaxing getaway!

Breathtaking view on entry! The house feels like a ship surrounded by waves, beauty and sound. The sound of the waves was both invigorating and comforting. Everything about the house was perfect: furnishings tasteful, art very nice; comfortable bed, couch, and recliners. Well-stocked kitchen for cooking up a meal while seeing the water through the windows. We can't wait to come back.

We absolutely loved our time here. Everything was so well taken care of inside their home and you simply cannot beat the view. It's stunning. We appreciated the dog -friendliness and wonderful location as well.

The place is fabulous so clean with beautiful views everywhere. We didn’t want to leave. Lisa is an amazing hostess and wonderful person. I will definitely go again.

Second Christmas here and love it.

this is the second time I've come to the Cinderella house. I love the privacy and expanse of space. The path to the beach is my favorite thing as well as the fabulous views of both the ocean and Big River. The house is very comfortable too! Will definitely be back!

Bay Dream was absolutely amazing! The views are incredible, and the house is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you could ever need for a wonderful stay. I appreciated all of the labels with directions for everything in the house, as well as the local food recommendations. We were also able to walk to Point Cabrillo lighthouse, which was amazing. We could not have asked for a better location for our family trip. Thanks!

This gorgeous, updated, ocean view home was perfect for our family trip. It felt like home with every amenity imaginable. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for smores on cold evenings and the kids had plenty of room to run and play safely. It was a beautiful short walk to the ocean. The large dining room table was our favorite for family games. Every room was perfectly private and comfortable. Shri was extremely friendly, responsive and so helpful. We will definitely be back!

Amber's place is unique and beautiful... perfect for the surroundings and very comfortable... we appreciated all the special features... stained glass, beautiful tile work and a huge shower.... easy to get to Mendocino from Amber's home and to some good restaurants... we also enjoyed cooking dinner there several evenings.. hope to return on our next visit to the area... jug handle beach and trail are terrific

Really nice place in a quiet neighborhood. Location was very convenient. 5-10 min walk to the beach. Host was super responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
