For the more adventurous we are a short drive to great mountain biking routes at Innerleithen and Peebles. Melrose & Tweedbank railway station is a 10 min drive, Edinburgh is just under an hour away.

The town is home to the Melrose Rugby Sevens & the Borders Book Festival & boasts many restaurants, cafes & independent shops. The open plan lounge/kitchen is well-equipped while the ensuite open plan bedroom is cosy with a bright bathroom with bath/shower. Caravan at The Keep

This is a large 35x 12 foot static caravan , situated on its own hillside site on the outskirts of Gattonside looking across to the town of Melrose and the Eildon hills . It has been rented out in the summer for about 17 years and enjoys return visitors . It’s a vintage 90’s caravan but comes fully equipped and is clean and comfortable. Linen provided . Welcome to SHEP – your cosy shepherd’s hut on a vintage military lorry, nestled along an old railway line on our family farm in the Scottish Borders. Snuggle up by the wood-burning stove in winter or throw open the French doors for a summer BBQ. Ideal for couples, families or solo stays. Optional wood-fired hot tub – £70 per stay (please book in advance). Pre-light service can be requested but is not always available. Extra logs can be purchased for £15 per bag.
