Holiday rentals with lake access in Melides

The house was beautiful, spacious. We felt very comfortable. Slept very well. Definitely recommended. 🙂

The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

Stay at Sofia’s. You won’t regret it. Sofia is informative, responsive and helpful in every way. The apartment is clean, beautiful, spacious and has everything you need to feel comfortable, safe and happy.

Great property, cats, dogs, horses, pigs, pool, table tennis … everything that big and small desire, wonderful tranquility and yet the beach is not too far away, we can only recommend

The bottle of wine and bottle of water were ready. Felt right at home. Despite the power outage, you can enjoy Seixal and Lisbon very much! Top location! And super host!!

We lived in this house for 1.5 months, it fits well for a family with kids. All the issues were immediately resolved by the host. It was the calmest place in the world, that we've been to. The house is pretty sturdy — we survived undamaged through the storm inside, while the area was pretty affected. The lagoon is really nice and clean, almost stranded during winter except for water sports fans. Houses in the area are well cared of, not too many cars around, so tranquil to get around with kids, that enjoy freedom of movement. We are a car-free family and it is manageable in the area. The farmers market works during low season just on the weekends, but you can get to Alfarim on foot through the nice wood area. We also got to Sesimbra and Fernao Ferro by bus.

We had a lovely family stay at this apartment, even though the weather wasn’t on our side. The apartment itself is charming and well-maintained, and we especially appreciated the outdoor shower next door—it’s a nice touch for warming up after a cool dip. The place is a bit on the pricier side, but it does offer a cozy atmosphere. One of our favorite features was the fireplace. While it doesn’t heat the place significantly, it adds a really warm and welcoming ambiance that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The location is great for exploring the area by car. Everything is easy to reach, and the surrounding landscape is truly beautiful. There are wonderful hiking trails, stunning beaches, and best of all—not too crowded. We can imagine it being even more amazing in better weather, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot with good access to nature.

We had a fantastic time at Herdade do Montum. The host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is a little gem, very cosy and beautiful, and the surroundings are lovely, very green and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast at the Herdade, and both were delicious. Highly recommend a stay here for a couple of days to recharge and enjoy a quiet holiday!

Pros: + great check-in experience, hospitality + all facilities present and are in fairly good condition + feels that apartment is being held with love + very comfortable flat and disposition for 2+2 + good public transport reach-ability (Cacilhas hub right nearby) Cons (mostly minors): - poor surroundings - moldy washing machine - you will hear everything, bad sound isolation in the house Overall, we're happy with our choice to stay in the Nest, it feels like one of the top places to stay in/near Lisbon.

The apartment was perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend staying there. Everything was as described.

The stay here was wonderful! Really a very nice place they have created here. We enjoyed staying here for 3 weeks and working remotely. An oasis of peace where you can relax. If you are staying in the Algarve, this is highly recommended! And Martina and Peter are really very nice people. You really need a car and the nearest pretty supermarket is a fifteen minute drive away. In the immediate vicinity itself, there is also not much to do, for that you really have to go to cities or nature reserves. But with Martina and Peter in the yard, they did provide enough entertainment and places to relax.

Good part of the city centre. Very close to a supermarket if you are self catering. Good area. Loved our stay there. Oh, and 2 brollies were provided because it can rain!

João is a very good host! He helped us with the luggage on the first day, guided us through the apartment, was responsive at all times and very friendly. The apartment is very tasteful and renovated with a lot of love for detail. João has built in a lot of special features and used many unusual furnishings (such as an old shoe cleaning stool, a similar dresser, an antique typewriter), which harmonize very well with modern furniture. The kitchen, bathrooms and windows are modern and very well renovated. Note the fourth floor without an elevator. The apartment is located in the middle of life (because of the good windows but quiet): shopping, good restaurants also with fado and bars (23 beers freshly tapped) are very close. Some attractions as well, (e.g. Fadomuseum, beer museum) for others, public transport is easily accessible on foot. We will be very happy to come back!

Great place to stay. It is as decribed. Clean, lovely and has everything. This is the place where i will stay again when i am back to Lisbon.

We had a great stay! The balconies was great to use to catch some sun. It was always easy to get in touch with the host. The apartment was clean. It was also very spacious!

We had a lovely stay—5 gal pals away to celebrate a milestone birthday year. They were kind enough to let us check in early and drop off our luggage, as we had flights that arrived a few hours before regular check in. The apartment is big and airy. Very walkable location with lots to do nearby. Very happy with our stay, thanks for everything!

To use just one word to describe Jan home: wonderful! If you are looking for a peaceful place, close to nature and away from busy cities then this is your place to stay. It has everything you'll need and perhaps Jan you'll do his best for more if needed. To us, his home was a piece of heaven and it did reminded me of my grandparents place when I was a young and spend the time summer holidays with them. Here you have orange trees and all you have to do is to pick one or two and enjoy them. Oh, I shall not forget Odin (the Cat). He gave us a big welcome in the first day but because we made the mistake not to allow her inside he completly ignored us during the stay. We had the 2nd chance on the last day when he joins us a for a breakfast! :-) Things to mention: you'll need a car (not a low small car but rather a mini SUV perhaps) as it's not close to a bus or train routes. Good Wifi receptions. We will return for sure as there is so much to see around. Thank you Jan for hospitality!

This is a lovely cottage with a private walled garden. There's a good variety plants - fresh mint, banana trees, various flowers, a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring. There is a gas barbeque and a large garden table for dinner. The hot tub is a real bonus! The cottage is tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. We appreciated the fruit basket, bread and jam. We recommend booking the hot springs in Evora and having a massage. Google inacquaveritas We highly recommend Carlos place - one not to be missed!

I was extremely satisfied with my stay! The space exceeded my expectations — very clean, well decorated and with all the details thought out in detail to provide comfort and well-being. Supermarkets 5min from the house, which is amazing. Communication was always easy and quick, and I felt very well received. It was a really pleasant experience and no doubt it would repeat again. I recommend to 100%!

It was a great stay! Five stars, very quiet, stylish apartment, beautiful landscape, we love the horses and dogs. Service (vegetables, eggs etc.) was wonderful too. Thanks a lot, Celine, Angélica and husband!

This was the best house we have stayed in around the Aljezur/Arrifana area. This was our 3rd visit to the area and we stayed at Marta’s on a friends recommendation. There are even peekaboo views of the ocean. The house is non-corporate in every good way. There is an ancient piano in the living room - and it was correctly tuned! There is local art and the furniture is not just ikea cheap stuff. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The area is great - kind of in between two different beaches. You can drive 3 minutes to a bunch of restaurants or walk 10 minutes to a few others at the roundabout. We did a run in the morning and there’s even a lake about 5 minutes away. All very peaceful, no traffic. We would happily stay here again.

We liked everything about the stay in casa Mimosa. It sure isn’t a place to party, it is a location to enjoy peace and quiet. Casa mimosa house is divided to two halves, but it isn’t a problem at all - there is enough privacy and terraces are located separately. The house is well equipped and clean. Lovely garden that you can explore freely. Sometimes there is a baker who brings fresh bread to the reception area. Prem welcomed us kindly and took us and our luggage to the house, recommended local hiking trails, restaurants etc. It was wonderful to relax in total peacefulness, the sleep quality was epic.

I've stayed at Anabela's a few years back and loved it that I came back this year. Anabela is lovely and she has uograded her place in the kast years with apool area. I love the remote Location and the mood around her place, Its is cosy with many places to hang out in hammocks. You can BBQ, there is even a Pizza oven. I can only highly recommend this charming house.

Casa Gaisma was paradise in the mountains, located in between fruit trees with only sound of birds and the dogs in the valley communicating with each other. Gaisma and Jörg are really friendly and helped with everything we needed. The two dogs living next door were like a family to us, always coming over when we got home after the daytrips and there in the morning to say good morning and seeing if we were having something good for breakfast that they could get a taste of 😍 The surrounding is filled with fruit trees that we could picked off and enjoyed. The bed is comfy and we asked for a fan to get a little bit better air in the bedroom over the nighttime. We always had geckos and frogs in the outdoor space - the frog even jumped in my hand 🤩 and one night we had the adventure to have a visit from a scorpion (wich Gaisma helped us with because we are not used to them). It is just a short drive to visit the beautiful beaches all around and the small towns in the mountains. Loved it
