Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Meimoa

What a lovely stay! We immediately had to take our own photos to show the family. The property is very well presented, and we were provided with fresh fruit and eggs on arrival. We also had access to the private garden (more like a forest), which led down to the river. An unexpected surprise! We recommend to anyone looking at this listing!

Very peaceful setting with a beautiful view of the mountains.

It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

Linhares da Beira and the surrounding area is a beautiful place to visit. The villa is perfect- well worth the money spent! Comfortable beds and everything you need in the kitchen. We braved the pool even though the weather was a bit cold for the time of year. Thanks to Linda and Helena for everything.

A great spot to stay in the mountains, Pedro's place is a comfortable size with the necessary essentials. The shower wasn't the best kept or cleanest but was functional, and there was a minor smell in the main bathroom but wasn't noticeable with the door closed. Overall a pleasant stay

The apartment was super clean, very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The view from the terrace and through the huge window front was really, really beautiful. The area is very quiet, we were able to switch off well. Arran&Oliver were very friendly hosts who provided us with informative and helpful tips about the apartment and the area in advance. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. Thanks for a great stay!! ☺️

The apartment is exactly as the photos show, if not better. Fantastic location on the pedestrian mall with lots of activity. So good to have a lift. It was a pleasure to have the view over the mall and watch the activities below. The apt was spotlessly clean. If I were ever to go back to Coimbra I would definitely stay here again

The accommodation is located 3 minutes by car from the Portuguese border of Vilar Formoso where restaurants and shops are located. The owners are very accommodating for the arrival time, they are very kind and responsive in terms of communication before arriving at the accommodation. They live next door which facilitates exchanges and reception of keys. Very clear explanations of the place, spacious, modern, well maintained and very clean upon arrival. Thanks to the owners for the warm welcome and kindness. I will come back without hesitation!!!

We had a great time here! The space is small but very clean, cute and has everything you need. The balcony was great and we enjoyed several mornings sipping coffee outside. Daniel was very communicative, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. Location was also perfect and in walking distance of the Ribeira!

Beautifully located! Wonderful view, excellent bakeries nearby. Good to have a secure, inside place to park our car.

Pro's: - The view is phenomenal!! - The location is convenient and central (bus and metro stops nearby) - Large bedroom (also a beautiful view!) -Genug Platz - in the kitchen, everything you need is there (a second pot would be nice) -All was clean -There is an elevator (apartment is on the 7th floor) Cons: - The ventilation in the bathroom turns on automatically in the afternoon and only turns off again the next morning. It is very loud and looks dirty, and it also gives off an unpleasant smell when it is running. You should always have the bathroom door open for ventilation. No dishwasher - Large and noisy construction site around the corner Overall, I had a great stay and felt comfortable!

Perfect location for a solo traveler, staying just one night in Coimbra. what I loved was how walkable the apartment was to everything, from the city center to the gardens to the university. And then all of the river walk being so accessible and close was a huge bonus. I really enjoyed my overnight here and found the apartment to have what I needed. Eduardo and Manuela were responsive and helpful!

...EVERYTHING IS EXCELLENT... We chose this accommodation based on the comments: ALL the reviews are positive. The apartment is currently being renovated and we have been given the one downstairs, which is similar but with a large terrace. The apartment is still new, comfortable and very clean. From 22 to 29 May, with my wife and son, we stayed in this apartment equipped with every comfort, all the appliances in the kitchen and bathroom are new. All linen, bed and bath, was available and perfect. Comfortable and large double bed In addition, the house has perfect and fast Wi-Fi and two new air conditioners The accommodation is located near Campanha, in a quiet area and the condominium is very quiet. David was kind and helpful by answering our questions immediately A stay to be repeated for sure... Highly recommended. Pedro is so cheerful, and the condition of the accommodation was naturally the best among the Airbnb accommodations I've been to. I walked over 20,000 bo every day, but the accommodation was comfortable, so I slept well and rested well. Everything is there except for what's missing, and the cleanliness is perfect. I highly recommend it to those who value cleanliness and facilities.

Excellent host and pristine property.

This Airbnb is in a good location for accessing all that Porto has to offer, on foot. It was nice to have two floors and not be in an apartment as most other airbnbs seem to be. It was very clean and well considered with touches such as an iron, hairdryer, kettle etc. The Airbnb was quiet from external noises such as the street etc and very peaceful in this respect. I do however have to say that the above apartment can be heard quite loudly moving about which did disrupt our sleep as it was usually later at night but they were just moving about, couldn’t hear music or tv late and noise from footsteps would stop around 1130/midnight. Overall I would stay again as it was a lovely airbnb. Nice for relaxing, always warm showers, two toilets, tv and sofa if needed. All good. Thank you.

Maria’s place is clean, well equipped and located a few minutes walking form the city centre. She welcomed us at check in and we felt right at home. Maria is a great communicator and very helpful. We would love to be back one day. Thanks for everything Maria!
