We were only here for 2 nights but felt right at home. A wonderful welcome with a tasty treat on arrival which we really enjoyed after traveling all day The apartment was spotless and beautifully designed and just a wonderful place to stay. Porto is beautiful and easily accessed from here and I would highly recommend staying here Wonderfully personal and welcoming hosts

David’s apartment was a great place for our night in Coimbra. It’s very close to the walled city, which made it easy to walk around and explore. It was also near several luggage storage places which helped on our partial day in the city. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the views of the old city. It was also near several cafes and restaurants, which was a bonus. We would stay again.

We really enjoyed the night we spent at this accommodation. The house was very cozy and very comfortable, even for a large family like ours (2 adults and 4 children). I recommend it!

Paula really goes above and beyond to make it as comfortable as possible. What a sweet, nice woman and what a nice house it is. We were there in a rather wet period and in the house it was cold. But there was enough wood for the stove and she came to bring us electric heaters for the bedrooms. We also didn't arrive until 12:30 at night and we had communicated that so there were fresh eggs and sandwiches in the house in the morning because the village was rather remote (which is wonderful for peace and quiet). But we also learned that a bakery came by at night and that you could put a bag with a note in it and you had fresh bread in the morning! I can tell so much, but you have to experience it yourself. Anyway: Paula is a winner!

An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

Delightful spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro Valley.

Very well located, in the historic area of Ciudad Rodrigo, with ease of parking. The apartment is very spacious and has all the comforts and basic things to prepare a coffee for example! The 10 Hosts!

carmo welcomed us at the house and after learning, that we‘d like to see dolmen (burial sites with big stones), she offered to drive us to another property. there she and her husband gave us a tour of the land and showed us several different stones and explained what they were supposedly used for (wine making, wheat grinding etc). we had a great stay at the house and would like to thank carmo and her husband again for their hospitality!

This is an extremely comfortable place to stay in a beautiful part of Portugal. The Douro Brothers are great hosts. Everything was in order and all we had a very nice time. Muito Obrigado!

The house is still better than it looks in the photos and description. Large and comfortable, with all that may be needed. Outside space is great, we were 10 people and there were spaces for everyone, the deck has wonderful views where we spend the afternoons and space for the kids to play and play in the ball. The beds were comfortable and as they were on the upper floor allow a separation of noise on the lower floor. Carlos has always been available, was a great host, with quick responses and always available. it is a place to return in a group.

We stayed at Casa Da Torre for 7 days and loved it. The place is spacious, private, and peaceful, with great views over the Douro River. It is a great base for exploring the Duoro River valley. Marta was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

We love these types of cottages. a great garden with swimming pool. We did not take advantage of that. However, the stove is fired in the evening.

This was easily one of the best places we have found here! The house is so cute and the land and the river around it so peaceful and beautiful! We swam in the river, walked around in the nature finding wild strawberries, enjoyed the space, the privacy, and the quiet. So many extra touches like art materials for the kids, a guitar to play, games, and more. Adelaide was a great host, she took us out to the land and showed us some of the secret spots to hang around in. She was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely love to come back some day!!

Great stay. The accommodation is clean, well-equipped With a pool that was much appreciated , swimming or napping at the foot of the pool You have breakfast with a magnificent view of the Douro River! Rita is a good-hearted person. We felt like at home. The place was great. Rita gave us fruit from her garden and was always there for us. I recommend a holiday in Rita's Air BnB 200% :-) happy to come back!

Pete and Linda are the best hosts we've ever had on Airbnb. They both went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable, from local restaurant recommendations to pool toys and everything in-between. Our daughter had an amazing holiday! The house itself is charming, with tonnes of space and everything you could need. The pool is fantastic and well kept. The local area is remote and beautiful with gorgeous countryside everywhere and some charming river beaches. I managed a run down from the house to the beach and back a couple of times but it's pretty hilly. In short, we couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks

Tomès apartment is very cozy and homely, with lots of soul! The neighborhood is very cool, and not as touristy and busy as other parts of the city. The neighbors were very nice and welcoming, and told us about Porto and Portugal, and gave great recommendations. Tomé was very nice, helpful and fast responding, and gave great recommendations as well. All in all this is an excellent Airbnb! And we really enjoyed our 5 weeks here.

Rui and Sergey have a lovely place. They were very friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and had excellent storage. They have since updated their main bathroom, which is now one of the nicest bathrooms I have seen (spacious, new, and great shower)!! The location was also very nice. It was far enough away from the hub of the city for quiet, but close enough to walk to Porto (25-30 min of a nice, pretty walk). The metro is also very close (8 min), which was so very convenient. Being able to use a washing machine was a huge plus too. Overall it was a great value!

Very friendly, accessible and attentive host, clean house and in great condition. Very good for children, with an inviting outdoor space.
