Just what we expected. Not fancy, but convenient and spic and span. Bathroom newly updated. Fully fenced in back yard. Sidewalks around the corner. Front and back porches.

Refuge on the Water was a lovely place to stay! We were welcomed with a handwritten note and a bottle of wine, which was a really sweet touch. Everything was VERY clean and tidy. Linda was very friendly to communicate with but also respected our privacy. Very enjoyable to sit out on the patio with the view of the lake, listening to the many birds in the area. Also loved all the little cute green tree frogs that hung out with us on the patio :) overall, a wonderful and comfortable stay!

A wonderful quiet country atmosphere on Lake Ellen. Fully stocked house with extras. Loved the hidden gem lake property with plenty of gliders and rockers throughout to sooth your soul. Very relaxing. Wonderful kitchen. Added bonus: grandma's quilts. Their father's renovations are top notch. We will be back. Thank you so much for a good time! Shannon

Very satisfied with my choice to stay here! This unit was very clean, cute, and cozy! I’ve grown up countryside my whole life so I felt right at home, especially sitting at the window that overlooks the beautiful scenery. Everything I can think of that I may have needed, the hosts provided and were very communicative and helpful with tips and local recommendations. This unit also smelled nice and the bed was very comfortable. Most definitely would stay here again.
