Interact with sassy swan-like sebastopol geese (they love apples!) or a kaleidoscope of 50ish chickens, two roosters and our most recent additions: two brother goats named Frank and Petunia. Groomed trails lead to a 100 acre nature preserve managed by our neighbors The Whidbey Institute that we call the "100 Aker Wood".

Shimmering Waters

Welcome to Shimmering Waters beach house. Our 2 story, no bank beachfront home sits on the north end of Maxwelton Beach. You won't find a nicer view of the water, sunsets or mountains on Whidbey Island. We have a new hot tub on the beach side deck and also two single kayaks available for our guests during the summer season. Note: Please be aware that the owner has had a dog and cat in the house on occasion. If you have any concerns, please let us know prior to making a reservation.

Courtyard Cottage is a charmingly restored 1940's fisherman's cottage, which includes an adjacent studio. The Main Cottage contains a bed for 2, bathroom, and kitchen, and the Studio functions as a spacious living room with TV, game table, and sectional. The buildings are surrounded by a fenced courtyard and patio which makes for a relaxing and private getaway. The community beach is just a short walk downhill. The Clinton Ferry is 3 miles away and Langley is a 15-minute drive.

Our studio apartment has a private entrance and a private Juliet balcony to enjoy stunning views of Puget Sound. Sleep in comfort on a Tempurpedic bed with adjustable head and foot lift. Additional sofa bed for extra guests. All necessities provided. Private indoor pool with views out to Puget Sound. Many attractions are within a 10 minute walk, including Mukilteo beach, the ferry terminal, the Sounder train to downtown Seattle or Mukilteo town.

The Hollow: Forest Yurt Stay & Mini-Alpaca Retreat

The Hollow is a different kind of farm stay; one rooted in quiet and restoration. We are proud to provide a peaceful forever home to Goose and Shaggy, our two senior mini alpacas who recently retired from a local vineyard. There are no early chores or shared activities; instead, we invite you to enjoy their calming, restorative presence grazing the pastures from the fence line as you unplug and listen to the owls in the forest clearing.

QUEEN BEDROOM/LOFT w/small bathroom and BUNK BEDROOM with nearby downstairs bathroom that was just remodeled. DECK w/seating for 8 when weather allows and a year-round BBQ.
