Beachfront holiday rental in Marlborough District

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The place was clean, spacious, well-furnished and had views that will leave you breathless. It was hard to find the entrance along the tracks, and I felt they could do more to mark out. Also the main aircon had problems so Angela brought over two more portable heaters so that we can be comfy. We didn’t have clear skies at night, and didn’t sight any dolphins, but there were plenty of seals just a short drive away.

The location of this home is incredible! Beautiful sunsets, close to penguins and a number of stunning beaches and hikes. Check out the baby fur seals, caves, natural spring, waterfalls and abundant bird life. Piwakawakas at every hike! Garry was very accommodating and responsive. Rent with confidence!

Loved Ruth's place and really found an appreciation for the art. Awesome location nice and central to town and bars and restaurants close by with beautiful views and all the homely things you could need. Place was also really cosy and homely

We had an amazing stay at Ben’s house.Its in a great location and has a great fireplace: the beds were very comfortable and loved being able to use the kayaks. The Fejoa tree was enjoyed by the kids

We really enjoyed our stay at Heaven. It was warm and quiet, very clean and in a great position on the waters edge. The hot tub was a lovely bonus, set amongst a beautifully maintained garden with amazing lighting. Felt like we were in Bali! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We have had the most amazing stay! The apartment is even better than it looks in the photos! View to die for from the enormous balcony, super comfortable beds, high end appliances & friendly accommodating hosts… we don’t want to leave!

Fantastic spacious property, well maintained and equipped. Great views, safe parking, quiet. Short distance from Picton, excellent for Waikawa Marina, great views of the sound. Wonderful place to stay.

We found the Clifftop Retreat cabin suited our needs perfectly and Bob provided an excellent level of communication, service and local tips. He also ensured the pantry and wines were stocked with high quality local products. The accomodation was very good with comfortable bed, terrific functional kitchen and amazing clifftop views of the surrounding bay and local area. The location was perfect for our walking trips up into the Abel Tasman National Park and also fantastic local restaurants and wineries. Bob also organised a pick up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. Overall a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Clifftop Retreats very highly.

On arrival the bach was unfortunately not ready for us, but this was due to an oversight by the cleaner, not Emma. Emma was super quick to respond and very apologetic when we messaged about it and couldn't have been more prompt in getting things resolved which we really appreciated. After this initial blip we loved our four night stay here. The bach feels like the best of both worlds - an old family bach and the charm that comes with that, made even better with significant modernising updates like the massive glass doors, and all the other mod cons and extras (big fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer, heatpump/AC, Chromecast, etc). It is off the beaten track and feels so peaceful and private. Being so close to the sea is a real treat. We would love to come back some time in the warmer months so we can make the most of the amazing outdoor areas and pool! (just a bit too chilly for us softies to swim in it at this time of year... we did love the outdoor fireplace though!). :)

A wonderful home in a beautiful location with stunning views. We particularly enjoyed the pool, spa and being able to walk to amazing restaurants and wine bar. Sally and Wayne were friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend staying

Beautiful place and location, and Sally and Wayne are very welcoming. A cute little village with great restaurants and ice cream is just a short walk down the beach. I highly recommend this spot for anyone, but especially for people interested in sitting on the deck soaking up the gorgeous scenery !

What a beautiful location! The home was quite large and perfect for our large family. Vicki was very responsive and kind -a great host. We did arrive to an abnormally cold snap in Nelson, but we're able to warm up with the wood stove in the living room. There were plenty of warm blankets for sleeping. We used the one portable electric heater in the bedroom where we had our infant in a crib (since she couldn't bundle up) and it worked great! We would certainly book again!

The location offers superb mountain and sea views across Mohua- Golden Bay and a short drive to restaurants if you want to leave. It is very comfortable. Our hosts left many thoughtful touches. Our weather wasn’t great so we appreciated the heated bathroom floor and fire. You may need the earplugs ( it can get very windy). Great bed, birdsong and privacy.

Our stay at Awaroa Bach was unforgettable. Elva and Geoff were incredibly welcoming and generous with their time, offering local insight that helped us make the most of our visit. The bach is peaceful, well-appointed, and perfectly located with easy access to the estuary and nearby water taxi stops. We loved the spacious bedroom, outdoor kitchen with BBQ, and thoughtful touches like fresh herbs from Elva’s garden. A highlight was kayaking at high tide and spotting manta rays—truly magical. On our last night, we shared dinner with Elva, Geoff, and some neighbors, which made us feel genuinely at home. Highly recommended.

Sarah and Hamish are perfect hosts. Their place is definitely gorgeous and they are kind, thoughtful, helpful and a kiwitastic couple . Went above and beyond when transport issues arose. Thank you so much . Wish we'd had more time.... Gotta come back!! 😊 Thanks a million

Had an amazing stay at Little Break Tahunanui. Toni provided clear instructions and check in was a breeze. The place was just like in the photos and the water pressure in the bathrooms was fantastic. All in all we had an excellent stay. Would recommend.

perfect for our needs, great location. the spiral stairs were a bit tricky to navigate but ok once we got the hang of them. would definitely be happy to stay there again

Very nice apartment. Was lovely and clean and it felt very welcoming. The heater was on when we arrived and to top it off, there were some treats for us too. Bed was comfy, slept like a log. Communication was easy, Ana responded immediately and was super helpful. Nice to have easy access to the beach as well. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend this place.
