Nature & Wildlife Encounter

MariusRating, 5 stars18 months ago
We stayed at Tira Ora over Christmas and was definitely an amazing and very memorable time. We we're treated as part of the family with exceptional hospitality, food and festivities and even received a Christmas present under the tree. The estate is vast, with lots to do and explore and a good get away from civilisation, truly a retreat where one can reconnect with nature and each other. Our only regret is not spending more time here. Much love to the Tira Ora family, you were amazing!

Peaceful eco-lodge near Abel Tasman

FionaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved our stay at Eric’s. It is a perfect base for exploring Abel Tasman which we did. Sharing the kitchen worked well and we met people from all over the world. It is always lovely to chat to people who also love travelling. There was plenty of space to sit outside and the gardens were beautiful. It did look slightly different to the photos as they were obviously taken a few years ago and lots of the bushes etc have now grown quite a bit but I was still able to recognise it from the photos. Breakfast is plentiful with eggs from Barb’s chickens and lots of options of bread, pastries and cereals. The bed was massive and the shower super powerful! We would definitely recommend and will visit again if we manage to return to NZ!

Nature Paradise

LiliRating, 5 stars65 months ago
I wish I could give more than 5 stars, but I can’t. We spent three days here and I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. This place was more than accommodation, it was an experience. It has everything! Beautiful views, more animals than you can pet, stunning hospitality. Farm animals, hiking trails, sting rays and nighttime kayaking in phosphorescence. The farm is only accessible through boat, but the mail bot provides a discounted fare and it’s worth it for the views on the way over. Thanks again to the amazing hospitality of Tira Ora, we felt so welcomed and taken care of in every aspect.

Nature Getaway

NigelRating, 5 stars90 months ago
We had a beautifully relaxing and energising couple of days at Tira Ora. The hosts were super lovely, the place was full of rustic charm, animals and birds everywhere. The rooms were comfortable, home-cooked food was delicious, and the place so captivating, we were sorry to have to leave. Great for families, a real natural treat away from it all.

Self check-in and check out made everything easy. I had a beautiful room with an amazing view. Everything was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Hosts were friendly and if you are lucky enough you will get to meet their beautiful cat. The place feels like home. I would definitely come back if I visit Kaikoura again.

Great quick stop for my two friends and I, we all stayed in the family bedroom together and it was perfect for the price. Got to take the two kayaks out very easily when nowhere else in town was renting them, very appreciative of that. Crazy views of the mountains across the bay

Had a lovely stay at the Seaside Lodge. Check-in was easy and the view from my room was beautiful - the perfect place to relax during quite a busy holiday. The kitchen facilities and bathroom were pretty clean and there wasn’t too much noise from the other people staying. Would recommend!
