Equally enjoyable and interesting walks can be enjoyed in the historic villages and Ports of the region, especially after night fall. Port du Cap d’agde, Port du Sete, Port de Bouzigues, Port de Marseillan The close proximity of the canal du midi and l’herault to the chateau provides a tranquil place to enjoy a walk. Festival and Entertainment Lovers Very close lies the historic 17th century market town of Pezenas, where Moliere played for the Prince De Conti. It offers a multitude of events, expositions, concerns and plays. It is also well known for its antique shops and markets. Only 25 minutes away is Montpellier nicknamed ‘la surdouee’ the gifted. It is a vibrant town with numerous walks, old town and an abundance of festivals. Sete and it’s famous theater also offers events all year long. Food and Drink Lovers The region offers many interesting regional products for your tasting pleasure. Discover the ‘figues becos’ a type of fig from Nezignan Leveque, Le Petit pate de Pezenas. Fish and seafood and of course wine as the region is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. We have selected a range of regional produce from the surrounding villages, (no more than 7km from the chateau) which you can purchase in the chateau’s little shop. Le Gîte Cathare

Cottage for two people at the gates of Les Corbières, located between the sea and Cathar castles. Private, air-conditioned accommodation, with no neighbours opposite, in the middle of the vineyards, for a couple's stay in a peaceful and comfortable setting. Upstairs, there is a single open-plan room with a 200 x 200 cm bed, a walk-in shower and a spa bath. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen with a lounge area, a separate toilet and a terrace for your outdoor meals. The place doesn't have wifi.

This property is perfect for 4 people however it is not suitable for anyone with a mobility issue. The entrance from the street is directly into the kitchen/living area, beautifully laid out and a staircase weaves its way to the first floor, where there is a large double bedroom, with ensuite shower room, and a Juliet window to the street below. A separate toilet is also on this floor, shared by the second bedroom, which is on the top floor, complete with a double bed and ensuite shower room.

The house, garden and terrace are independent and not overlooked.
