House holiday rentals in Margate

At first I wanted to give a bad review, just so that no one else discover this beautiful gem in Southbroom, but alas I can't. The house is absolutely stunning, with everything you need, a home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated, one immediately wants to treat the house and everything with respect. Kim's attention to detail, welcome note, Christmas decorations, communication throughout our stay was excellent. Billy her husband assisted us with something small that had to be repaired and arranged someone on Christmas eve. Billy also notified us throughout our stay of what is happening in and around Southbroom. The house is perfectly located, easy to go for walks on the beach, trails, shops, restaurants, golf, padel, everything on your doorstep but still in a quiet and peaceful street, which is difficult during the festive season. Thank you Kim and Billy for sharing your beautiful home with us, this will definitely not be our last visit, hope to do so soon again.

I had a fantastic two-day stay at 65 Old Saint Faiths! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and peaceful—perfect for relaxing. The host, Robin, was incredibly friendly and responsive, always ready to help with recommendations and any questions. The hospitality made our stay even better. I highly recommend this place and would love to return!

It was just what we wanted a little bit of peace with the ocean at our door step. The house could do with a few upgrades but thats life living at the sea and the salt sea air, it won't however stop us from staying there again! It was safe and had everything we needed for our stay! Thomas the caretaker was there for anything we needed, he was also not intrusive and left us to do our thing! We didnt want to leave and again would definitely book another stay there!

Really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was very well suited to our golf group with each couple enjoying a neat bedroom with on-suite bathrooms. Beautiful views of both the golf course and sea. Will definitely be back

We enjoyed our stay, the home is beautiful and provides all of the amenities we needed for it to feel like home. The main bedroom included a bunk bed and toys which was great for our little ones. Prudence who is on site to look after the house was also very helpful.

Correne's place is perfect. Very spacious, clean, comfortable with stunning views over the ocean. The shower is amazing - great water pressure and heat. Hosts were friendly and accommodating and I would highly recommend.

This place deserves more then 5 stars. I booked Peter's place for a weekend away whilst visiting my family in SA. The house is fantastic, amazing view, great pool and braai area and great rooms. So perfect for a weekend away. Nicolene was amazing in communicating and super helpful. We had an amazing weekends with family, dogs and toddler. Thank you so much

We had an AMAZING stay. The house is massive and so well appointed. There were 14 of us and not once did any of us feel like we were on top of each other. There is so much space and so many different things to do which really made it a calm and relaxing weekend for everyone. Thandeka is wonderful and she made our stay extra special. We couldn't have asked for a better place!

What an awesome guy you will rarely get a better host than this i mean the guy lives in gauteng but he makes you feel as if his right here to assist and the price for property and location is unbeatable

The perfect spot on the coast. The house and the views are just fantastic. And the help, Doris, is the sweetest lady. The beach is just outside and the area feels safe. Thanks! We were 3 familes - 10 people aged 12-61.

It is a beautiful place. The walk to the beach is about 3 minutes and wildcoast is about 10 minutes away. It is a nice getaway and definitely worth the price.

A little piece of heaven. Right on the beach - it’s surreal. Lots of space to grab a quiet moment or converge together over a meal with the sea as a backdrop. The house has everything you need and more. Thomas is quietly unobtrusive and very efficient at looking after the house and comfort of the guests. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous 10 days at Brendan’s home in December. The house is equipped with everything you could ask for. The outdoor area is fabulous with a built in braai and bar fridge which we used a lot!! The lounge upstairs was a win with the kids and gave us all enough space to just be. Brendan was amazing at sharing information about the area and suggestions on things to do - even helping get hold of a doctor when we needed one.

We had an awesome stay at Shale Beach House. It has everything you need; you don't have to drive anywhere. It is such a peaceful private area; the sea is literally on your doorstep. We loved the jacuzzi bath, jacuzzi and rim flow pool and the permanent ice maker, but there is so many things that make it comfortable to stay in! Wilson was a delight to deal with, had a really easy check in, he always around if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Nelius for opening up your beautiful home!

We had an incredible stay. Lee-Roy was very good with communication from the day I made the booking, until the day we left. The place is immaculate, with a beautiful clean beach basically in your back yard. The yard is fenced in and safe for pets. Veronica, the housekeeper was great, so kind and helpful and always on time. The house is spacious and I love they they even prepared little beds for my doggies, the attention to detail is so appreciated. We had an incredible stay and it was definitely value for money. A very kind welcome gift also waited for us which was so kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place.

I would give Justins place 10 stars if I could...it was absolutely amazing especially with the breathtaking seaview. The house is very spacious and the pool is just a bonus. our kids really enjoyed the getaway and didnt want to leave. Justin was absolutely awesome, he is a very good host and what was great about him is he replies really quick. And Yvette was absolutely amazing, she was there if ever we needed to find out anything, she is very kind and caring even towards kids. My kids adored her. This home is value for money. We will definitely go back when we get a chance. i would highly recommend.

Beautiful home. Lots of entertainment in the entertainment area that kept the whole family busy. The house was clean and neat when we arrived. Views are spectacular. Will definitely be visiting again.

Thank you so much, Lucy, for allowing us a very last minute check in. We were welcomed with a bottle of Seaward wine by Precious who was on hand to clean and do washing and ironing for us like a little cleaning fairy who just somehow alway had everything perfect for us. We really loved the dstv for the cooler evenings. The sea views from every single balcony were second to none and the rocking chair on the patio was my favourite. The garden is huge and our dogs loved it. The house is big and spacious, plenty of room for 3 generations of family without feeling claustrophobic at all. The garage was very handy for storing our trailer in it. There is a full alarm system but we didn’t feel the need to use it because we felt extremely safe. My dad really enjoyed daily walks to Ramsgate spar which is so close by. My husband and I loved watching the sun rise over the ocean from the lounge with coffee in hand! Thank you!

Inyoni exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is one in a million. A pristine beach that had everything. Good swimming, shark nets and lifeguards. A great tidal "pool" quite small but perfect for kids and dogs to have a paddle and grownups to plop your butt in and just chill for hours. Only homes immediately on the beach had access, so nice and private. The house... It is perfect, set in the most exquisite garden, with a summer house. The jacuzzi was vacuumed daily, was lovely to sit in with a cocktail after a day on the beach. There is everything, every appliance, utensil. Beautiful linens, comfortable furniture, fun little bar, plenty of fridge and freezer space and pantry. The staff were incredible, Thandi is a sweetheart, she really looked after us and even did our washing which was not expected. Mawakhe the induna had the braai clean and jacuzzi vacummed by 7.30 every morning. We will be back, it is an absolute treasure.

The view of the ocean is breathless. The home is spacious and open planned. The kitchen has a gas hob which was great during load shedding and is also equipped with an easy to start generator that powered up the lights and essentials. There is also a huge water tank that was filled prior to our arrival due to the water woes currently being experienced in Southbroom. We had a lovely family holiday in a very relaxing home. It felt like a home away from home. The outside area and deck is adequate in size. It was the perfect place to have a morning coffee and look for sea life. The dining room looks out towards the sea. The main beach is a short drive from The house and is great with the option of sand or a grass beach. There is also another beach with a granny pool that is lovely for smaller kids. We took our dogs with on holiday and they loved it. There are new built in cupboards in the rooms and the stay was great! We would choose this home again when returning to Southbroom.
