Monthly Rentals in Margaret Creek

We absolutely loved staying at Sallie’s home during our visit to Ohio University for a college tour! The location was perfect—just a quick drive outside of Athens. The house itself was super charming, spotless, and felt incredibly welcoming. Although we didn’t take advantage of the backyard or fire pit, it was great to know we had the option. The lot is spacious and peaceful, and the dining room—with its view of the creek and backyard—made for a perfect dinner spot. We brought a few groceries and really appreciated the full kitchen. Our evening was spent doing puzzles, playing games, and watching movies. The beds were very comfortable, and our daughter especially loved the cozy lofted bed upstairs. The home is close to the highway, so you can hear some traffic at night, but for us, it was just soft background noise—nothing that disturbed our sleep. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we’ll definitely be booking again next time we’re in town!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for 3 weeks! Just the right size for 1-2 people. Great appliances, clean, easy to get to, clear hotspot instructions for wifi, isolated, and always a joy driving by the fields of cows on my way down to and back from Athens. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect little cabin for our family of 4 for the weekend. Quick drive to visit OU in about 10 minutes. Appreciated the games in and outdoors. The kids especially loved Athensopoly and corn hole. Loved having plenty of extra towels and coffee/snacks. Cute firepit outside, but we didn't get to use it. Felt like you were in the woods, but not far from town. Overall great stay.

Excellent and quiet location with a beautiful direct line of sight and walking path into nature. Close enough to the city, and the amenities were fantastic. overall this was great for an extended weekend getaway and it was so cozy, it made it hard to leave. Waking up to sunshine through the windows and sipping coffee on the back deck before getting into the hot tub is the best way to start your day.
