Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Makry Gialos

Had a fantastic 5 days, yes the accommodation is small but the veranda is big with a perfect view of the bay. The drive up from the beach is a little uneven but parking is ample when you arrive, right behind the room with no steps so it’s easy to get your case in. Georgie provided absolutely everything you could possibly need, the bed very comfortable and great AC if needed. Georgia will show you a shortcut path down to the beach and restaurants, you’ll need a torch at night. We loved it there, so peaceful and unspoilt. From the accommodation I walked up the old road then back down through the gorge 4 miles in total and beautiful, don’t try and drive the old road it’s v rough. Excellent food at reasonable prices in the tavernas behind the beach, free sun beds, very friendly people. I can highly recommend Georgias place

logement facile d'accès , très fonctionnel , super market restaurants plages juste à coté , tout est très confortable et Istron se situe à 15 km de Agios Nikolaos et permet de visiter facilement le coté est et sud est ( avec véhicule bien sur) . Alexandra est une personne charmante et elle nous a offert quelques légumes et fruits de son jardin . Merci pour son accueil

Πολύ ωραίο κατάλυμα! Ήταν πολύ cozy το εσωτερικό του σπιτιού και πολύ δροσερό για την ζέστη της εποχής. Η αυλή πολύ μποχό και ότι πρέπει για αραγμα με παρέα σε μία πολύ ήρεμη γειτονιά και αν σου λείψει και κάτι πετάγεσαι με τα πόδια στα 20-30μ ακριβώς απέναντι όπου υπάρχει Σούπερ Μάρκετ (Σκλαβενίτης). Αν και το σπίτι είχε ήδη ότι χρειάζεται από πράγματα πρώτης ανάγκης. Δεν προλάβαμε να απολαύσουμε όλες τις ανέσεις του σπιτιού καθότι κάτσαμε μόνο 4 νύχτες και το μόνο που μας δυσκόλεψε ήταν το πολύ ωραίο κατά τα άλλα κρεββάτι στο πάτωμα λόγω και του ότι η σύζυγος ήταν σε εγκυμοσύνη. Θα ξανα επιλέγαμε σίγουρα όμως ξανά το κατάλυμα και για οικογενειακές διακοπές στο μέλλον!

Es gibt gar keine Worte, wie toll es bei Popi und in Tertsa war!! Ich war total begeistert! Das Appartement ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, es ist wirklich alles da, was man braucht. Es ist sehr sauber, gemütlich und hat einen tollen Balkon mit schönem Meerblick. Es gibt viel Platz zum Parken. Der Strand von Tertsa und fie Taveren sind auch super, abseits vom Massentourismus. Das beste ist aber Popis Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft. Sie verwöhnt einen mit Köstlichkeiten. Soooo fantastisch! Hat sogar für mich gekocht, das werde ich nie vergessen. Danke Popi! ❤️ Super toll ist auch der Garten mit Obst und Gemüse, das man essen darf. So viele Tomaten, Zitronen, Trauben, Granatäpfel..... Es war der beste Aufenthalt in meiner dreiwöchigen Rundreise.

Séjour parfait ! Le logement est conforme à l'annonce et l'extérieur est absolument magnifique. La piscine à l'eau salée est aussi extrêmement agréable. Nous sommes partis avec notre fils de 18 mois et Christos nous a fourni tous les équipements nécessaires. Nous recommandons à 100% !

Nous venons de passer 13 jours en Crète et en revenons enchantés. L'appartement proposé a été conforme à nos attentes et aux photos sur le site. Excellentes vacances dûes à la localisation et à l'accueil de nos hôtes. Quelle vue magnifique depuis la terrasse, encore plus belle qu'elle n'y paraît sur les photos. La mer présente des reflets avec différents bleus à couper le souffle. Quel plaisir le matin de déjeuner avec le lever du soleil. Un vrai paradis ! L'endroit est calme au milieu de la nature. La célèbre plage de sable de Voulisma est accessible à pied en moins de 15 minutes. Appartement très propre, cuisine bien équipée et très bonne literie : important. Situation idéale pour visiter Agios, Sitia, Lerapetra, Elounda. Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Dimitri malgré notre arrivée tardive et petits biscuits pour le lendemain. Sa femme nous a donné plusieurs fois des légumes, et même petits cadeaux avant le départ. Hôtes disponibles, discrets et vraiment charmants !

Great apartment , 2 very spacious rooms with very comfy beds and lots of storage , mirrors and plug sockets . Lovely lounge diner with comfy sofa looking out over balcony which had an amazing view over Elounda harbour and opposite Spinalonga . Manos was very responsive in messages before and during our stay with any help or advice we needed . The apartment was well equipped and clean . Very comfy beds and pillows with crisp white linen . Air-con worked well with a unit in each room .Easy key safe check in . I have been coming to Elounda for 20years + and this is by far the nicest apartment I have stayed in . The view is worth the money alone . Thanks Manos and Elounda for another beautiful holiday .

Perfecte locatie om het oostelijk deel van Kreta te bezoeken. Het appartement is goed uitgerust, er is alles wat je als gast nodig hebt, echt aan elk detail is gedacht om te kunnen genieten van een heerlijke en ontspannen vakantie. Het appartement heeft een privé parkeerplaats, ligt op de eerste etage en heeft een eigen opgang (18 traptredes). Er zijn overal horren (dus geen last van muggen). De woonkamer en slaapkamers hebben airco en alle ramen / deuren zijn voorzien van elektrische rolluiken. De weg aan de voorzijde van het appartement hoor je wel als je met de balkondeuren open zou slapen, maar wij hebben daar geen last van gehad. Tip -> Loop Quiet Earplugs als je een lichte slaper bent. Dimitris is een hele prettige host en reageert snel. Hij heeft hospitality hoog in het vaandel, waarbij gastvrijheid, aandacht en service centraal staan. Hij heeft een proactieve benadering om de behoeften van ons als gast te begrijpen en te overtreffen. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf!

Theodora’s apartment is hidden gem in Agios Nikolaos. During our stay we realized, there is no better location for families with small kids. It’s right next to beach bar with great beach, in our opinion best within the city and there is even kids playground right next to it. You have 6-7 great local restaurants within 5mins walk + 2 grocery shops. Location is very quiet. Apartment is very well equipped with all you need for shorter or even longer stay (we stayed 1month). Theodora was very friendly, responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We can only recommend her and her apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy perfect vacation. Efcharisto Theodora 👍🏻

Wir waren mit zwei Kleinkindern Gäste in Georges Haus und haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. George und Maria haben uns all unsere Fragen schnell beantwortet, tolle Ausflugsziele, Mietwagenverleihe und Restaurants vorgeschlagen. Das Ferryman können wir äußerst empfehlen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und im übrigen ein Blickfang mit den blauen Fensterläden. Von hier aus kommt man bequem zu Fuß überall hin. Der Strand ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Morgens kann man die Fische im Wasser beobachten und am Abend hat man einen tollen Blick auf die beleuchtete Stadt. Es war einfach wunderschön. Wir hatten außerdem.den Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür für den Mietwagen, das war natürlich auch super. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. George und Maria, sowie das gesamte Team und auch alle umliegenden Geschäfts, Restaurants usw. sind super gastfreundlich und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Vielen Dank.

Nothing more to say than: perfect!! Super clean - super comfy - and Manos a brilliant host!! If you need something he is there in a second! Wir waren 6 Tage in Amandas schönem Haus. Alles war blitzsauber. Die Küche groß, mit allem was man braucht. Wir haben das Haus nicht gleich gefunden, es liegt etwas versteckt. Amanda kam gleich und hat uns dort hingebracht. Die obere Terrasse ist groß und sehr gemütlich für das Frühstück und abends zum Ausklingen des Tages. 2 Tavernen sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Man kann dort gut und supergünstig essen. Was uns besonders an Limnes gefallen hat, waren die Bewohner. Sie waren alle superfreundlich und total hilfsbereit. Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Hund dort. Leider sind Hunde im Norden Kretas an den Stränden (z.B Elounda) nicht erwünscht. Deshalb werden wir weiterhin wieder in den Süden gehen, wo wir seit 20 Jahren unsere Urlaube verbringen. Vielen Dank an Amanda für die Überlassung ihres urgemütlichen Hauses!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und die Unterkunft war super ausgestattet für die Kürze unseres Aufenthalts. Das Apartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super sauber. Die Veranda und die Aussicht ein tolles Highlight. Einziger Minuspunkt: Die stark befahrene Straße direkt vorm Haus. Leider ist es dadurch recht laut. Ansonsten war unsere Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank!

Sehr sauberes Apartment in wunderschöner Umgebung. Das Apartment ist aus meiner Sicht sogar noch viel schöner als auf den Bildern. Hervorragend ausgestattet, hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Man teilt sich das Haus mit einem weiteren Apartment, die Terassen sind schön voneinander getrennt. 100% Empfehlung!

Honnetement c'était magnifique, dès l'arrivé on tombe directement face à une vue extraordinaire, le logement était propre et bien pratique. Tout y est pour s'y sentir bien, merci Delphine (et Georgia qui nous a accueilli ) !

Die Wohnung von Geo und Marina ist der perfekte Ort für einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub. Eigentlich sollte man hier gar keine Bewertung abgeben damit dieses Juwel für immer ein Geheimtipp bleibt. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt in diesem wunderbaren kleinen Ort und in dieser tollen Wohnung mit Meerblick. Danke Geo und Marina für eure herzliche und großzügige Gastfreundschaft!

We loved the stay in Agios - Maria was very nice & flexible. Supermarket, lake, sea and restaurants surrounding the flat and the apartment is very sweet with everything u need for a couple of days in Agios. Nice balcony, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Very thankful for our time here :)

I can not recommend this place enough!!! One of the best places I have ever stayed in . Just a stunning view. We had our Airbnb cleaned twice which was so nice. Mary was amazing. We definitely will be back again. Thank you so much again

This is such a great place to stay in AN. Eleftheria met us on arrival and made us feel like family. Their property is pristine and with great lounge, kitchen and dining overlooking the marina. In 5 mins walk you are wherever you want to get to in the local area. There is a sheltered beach within walking distance. A gorgeous town and well appointed place to stay. Absolutely recommend

We really enjoyed our stay, Galini was more than welcoming. The apartment was even bigger then expected and there was no speck of dust to be seen! Even though our stay was in November, so it was off season, probably half of the restaurants, shops and mini markets were still open. You can reach some lovely beaches by car in around 5 min. Sitia is the closest big city and 20 min by car. We would definitely stay there again!

The room was nice and big, view from the balcony was really beautiful, pool was great and the location was the best. You can find everything you need in Istro - shops, tavernas, beautiful beaches. We loved it and we can certainly recommend!

Πολύ ωραίο, άνετο και ήσυχο διαμέρισμα, αρκετά κοντά στο κέντρο της πόλης, με κοντινό super market για ψώνια και με πάρκινγκ για το αυτοκίνητο. Η Αικατερίνη ήταν πρόθυμη να εξυπηρετήσει, χωρίς ωστόσο να χρειαστούμε κάτι ιδιαίτερο, καθώς υπήρχαν όλα τα απαραίτητα, όπως περιγράφονταν στις παροχές.

Ich war drei Wochen dort und habe mich vom ersten Moment an wohl gefühlt. Theodossi ist ein unfassbar lieber Host, der sehr bemüht war, mir eine schöne Zeit zu ermöglichen. Bei meiner Ankunft sind wir Kaffee trinken gegangen, er hat mir viele Tipps gegeben und sogar einen Ausflug mit mir gemacht. Er war immer gut zu erreichen und extrem gastfreundlich. Die Wohnung ist super zentral, man kann von dort aus alles in Sitia zu Fuß erreichen, vor allem Hafen und Strand sowie zahlreiche Restaurants. Mir hat es an nichts gefehlt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!
