Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Makry Gialos

Had a fantastic 5 days, yes the accommodation is small but the veranda is big with a perfect view of the bay. The drive up from the beach is a little uneven but parking is ample when you arrive, right behind the room with no steps so it’s easy to get your case in. Georgie provided absolutely everything you could possibly need, the bed very comfortable and great AC if needed. Georgia will show you a shortcut path down to the beach and restaurants, you’ll need a torch at night. We loved it there, so peaceful and unspoilt. From the accommodation I walked up the old road then back down through the gorge 4 miles in total and beautiful, don’t try and drive the old road it’s v rough. Excellent food at reasonable prices in the tavernas behind the beach, free sun beds, very friendly people. I can highly recommend Georgias place

We had an amazing time at Alexandera's place! The apartment one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen, it's super comfortable and homey, and Alexandra is a kind host! we will definitely come back is we have a chance, thank you so much Alexandra!

Very nice accommodation! The interior of the house was very cozy and very cool for the heat of the season. The yard is very boho and perfect for hanging out with friends in a very quiet neighborhood and if you miss something you can walk 20-30m just across the street where there is a Supermarket (Sklavenitis). Although the house already had what it needed from basic necessities. We did not have time to enjoy all the comforts of the house as we only stayed 4 nights and the only thing that made it difficult for us was the otherwise very nice bed on the floor due to the fact that my wife was pregnant. We would definitely choose the accommodation again for family holidays in the future!

There are no words to describe how great it was at Popi and in Tertsa!! I loved it! The apartment is very lovingly furnished, it really has everything you need. It is very clean, cozy and has a great balcony with a beautiful sea view. There is a lot of space for parking. The beach of Tertsa and the taverns are also great, away from mass tourism. But the best thing is Popy's cordiality and hospitality. She spoils you with delicacies. Soooo fantastic! Even cooked for me, I'll never forget that. Thank you Popi! ❤️ The garden with fruit and vegetables, which you can eat, is also great. So many tomatoes, lemons, grapes, pomegranates ..... It was the best stay on my three-week round trip.

Perfect stay! The accommodation is as advertised and the outside is absolutely beautiful. The saltwater pool is also extremely pleasant. We left with our 18-month-old son and Christos provided us with all the necessary equipment. We recommend 100%!

Of all my trips to Greece, this was the first place I stayed where I just had to sit on the balcon and relax. Wat a wonderful view! The place where the house is located is calm and surrounded only by Greek nature. What we could want more? Dimitrios and his wife are very welcoming. Great apartment , 2 very spacious rooms with very comfy beds and lots of storage , mirrors and plug sockets . Lovely lounge diner with comfy sofa looking out over balcony which had an amazing view over Elounda harbour and opposite Spinalonga . Manos was very responsive in messages before and during our stay with any help or advice we needed . The apartment was well equipped and clean . Very comfy beds and pillows with crisp white linen . Air-con worked well with a unit in each room .Easy key safe check in . I have been coming to Elounda for 20years + and this is by far the nicest apartment I have stayed in . The view is worth the money alone . Thanks Manos and Elounda for another beautiful holiday .

Perfect location to visit the eastern part of Crete. The apartment is well equipped, there is everything you need as a guest, every detail has really been thought of to be able to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing holiday. The apartment has a private parking space, is on the first floor and has its own entrance (18 steps). There are screens everywhere (so no problem with mosquitoes). The living room have air conditioning and all windows/doors are fitted with electric shutters. You can hear the road at the front of the apartment if you sleep with the balcony doors open, but we didn't have any problems with that. Tip -> Loop Quiet Earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Dimitris is a very pleasant host and responds quickly. He is committed to hospitality, with a focus on hospitality, attention and service. He has a proactive approach to understanding and exceeding the needs of us as a guest. We loved our stay!

Theodora’s apartment is hidden gem in Agios Nikolaos. During our stay we realized, there is no better location for families with small kids. It’s right next to beach bar with great beach, in our opinion best within the city and there is even kids playground right next to it. You have 6-7 great local restaurants within 5mins walk + 2 grocery shops. Location is very quiet. Apartment is very well equipped with all you need for shorter or even longer stay (we stayed 1month). Theodora was very friendly, responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We can only recommend her and her apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy perfect vacation. Efcharisto Theodora 👍🏻

I cannot say enough about George and Maria and their attentiveness during our stay. They both went out of their way to answer all our questions and assist us with extras such as using the washing machine. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything needed for our short stay. I can highly recommend this spot as a great place from which to explore Elounda.

Nothing more to say than: perfect!! Super clean - super comfy - and Manos a brilliant host!! If you need something he is there in a second! The Rustic Nook was such a lovely, unique place to stay. It felt like you were tucked away in a quaint cottage in the shire. Beyond the physical attractiveness of the home, Amanda was always just a text away. I felt that if an emergency were to arise, she would’ve been there in a moment’s notice. When it came to the Rustic Nook, she thought of everything and had a note or explanation available. We loved our stay and if we ever get the chance to come back to Crete, we hope to be able to stay at the Rustic Nook again!

We had a great stay and the accommodation was superbly equipped for the shortness of our stay. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and super clean. The veranda and the view are a great highlight. The only downside: the busy road directly in front of the house. Unfortunately, it's quite noisy. Otherwise, our hostess was very friendly and helpful. Very clean apartment in beautiful surroundings. In my opinion, the apartment is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Excellent facilities, everything has really been thought of here. You share the house with another apartment, the terraces are nicely separated from each other. 100% recommendation!

We loved the stay in Agios - Maria was very nice & flexible. Supermarket, lake, sea and restaurants surrounding the flat and the apartment is very sweet with everything u need for a couple of days in Agios. Nice balcony, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Very thankful for our time here :)

I can not recommend this place enough!!! One of the best places I have ever stayed in . Just a stunning view. We had our Airbnb cleaned twice which was so nice. Mary was amazing. We definitely will be back again. Thank you so much again

This is such a great place to stay in AN. Eleftheria met us on arrival and made us feel like family. Their property is pristine and with great lounge, kitchen and dining overlooking the marina. In 5 mins walk you are wherever you want to get to in the local area. There is a sheltered beach within walking distance. A gorgeous town and well appointed place to stay. Absolutely recommend

We really enjoyed our stay, Galini was more than welcoming. The apartment was even bigger then expected and there was no speck of dust to be seen! Even though our stay was in November, so it was off season, probably half of the restaurants, shops and mini markets were still open. You can reach some lovely beaches by car in around 5 min. Sitia is the closest big city and 20 min by car. We would definitely stay there again!

The room was nice and big, view from the balcony was really beautiful, pool was great and the location was the best. You can find everything you need in Istro - shops, tavernas, beautiful beaches. We loved it and we can certainly recommend!

Very nice, comfortable and quiet apartment, quite close to the city center, with a nearby supermarket for shopping and parking for the car. Aikaterini was willing to serve, but we did not need anything special, as there was everything necessary, as described in the amenities.

I was there for three weeks and felt comfortable from the first moment. Theodossi is an incredibly lovely host who was very eager to help me have a nice time. When I arrived, we went for coffee, he gave me a lot of tips and even went on a trip with me. He was always easy to reach and extremely hospitable. The apartment is super central, you can walk to everything in Sitia from there, especially the harbour and beach as well as numerous restaurants. I lacked nothing Thank you for the wonderful time!
