Monthly Rentals in Mackworth Island

The unit is rustic, will not be to everyone's taste, but it's unusually spacious and tucked away from all traffic noise, not to mention walking distance from downtown and the Old Port. Lots of places to eat! Easy to find a parking spot on the street. All we ever heard from outside were children playing and birds. The stairs are steep, so not advised for those not fit or who have balance issues, and it takes awhile for the heat to warm up the place on colder nights (though it does get there). But Sharon is responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed her little perks like Swedish Fish.

Rachel’s place was extremely clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place to spend a snowy and stormy day with our pup. Very convenient to get to Portland. Close to grocery store and anything you might need. Rachel was very quick to respond when we had questions and had ice melt delivered for us same day which was a huge help in the storm.

Marlene's accommodations for us (a couple)were located above the garage and were lovely, private, lovely open lawn and grounds with outdoor seating, very easy parking, outfitted kitchen for basic food prep, comfortable sleeping and lounging for two, walking path/and off main road access, all that one would expect and need for a get-away. The one room apartment is upstairs in the garage with a separate/private entrance. Marlene is accessible, helpful, accommodating and kind.

Fantastic place for a month long stay! The place is tastefully decorated and light. The towels and bedding were all soft and comfortable. Having all the little bits like soap and dish supplies was really great too. I really liked the couch, it was so comfy for a movie night and the Nespresso machine was a blessing in the mornings. Street parking was okay as long as you find the right windows to park up and the amazing food and drink within 50m of the door is mind blowing. Big shout out The Shop, Lil Chippy and Bellflower Brewery!!! Awesome airbnb, the wifi and door code entry was so smooth and consistent.
