From the veranda you can watch our free-range ducks & chickens, buzzards & red kites thermalling over the valley & horses coming and going. There is a private, woodland garden with a wood fired hot tub to enjoy the views or gaze at the stars. There are lots of lovely walks including across the fields to the local pub and Bath is only 15-20 mins by car.

A bright and airy two bedroom annexe on the side of our family home, set down a private drive in the little village of Downhead. Wonderful views of fields to enjoy at the front and side of the home and quiet woodland behind. Wildlife and farm animals are easily spotted. The popular East Mendip Way footpath passes the bottom of the garden, offering fabulous walks. With parking outside the door, the annexe being all on one level and having a walk-in shower, it is suitable for all abilities.

The Pigsty

The Pigsty is a modern, comfortable barn conversion situated in an area that used to be part of the farmyard, opposite our farmhouse cottage and a pretty mill with a view of the village on the hillside where the sun sets. Little gated courtyard with table and chairs to enjoy that view. Walking distance to the village shop and local pub for drinks. The Cow Shed is set on a small farm with horses, chickens and goats alongside the river Frome. The cottage is great as a base to explore the area. We are a stones throw from the local attractions of Longleat, Bath, Wells, Stourhead, Alfred’s Tower, Cheddar and Glastonbury.
