It is a self-contained studio with a double bed or 2 singles, dining/sitting areas, kitchen and shower room. The Hand Hotel serves great food, best to book. Well placed for a long weekend of walking, cycling or visiting the Pontcysyllte World Heritage site, Llangollen with its heritage railway, Lake Vernwy, waterfalls and many more wonderful places. An excellent base for exploring North Wales.

We loved our stay so much that we can't wait to come back! The place was pristine, beautifully decorated with so much character, surrounded by beauty, perfectly stocked, and so comfortable! We felt so peaceful in this cozy stay. Nearby Oswestry was a cute little town with lots of food options. We greatly appreciated the helpful binder of recommendations and information left by the hosts. Perhaps the best part was cuddling with Rocky, one of the cats! We are excited to escape the bustle of London to stay in this serene place again in the future!

Stayed 10th -13th February, treated my partner for her birthday. So peaceful, lodge was stunning like the surrounding scenery, hot tub was lovely to just relax and stargaze. Entire lodge was spotless throughout and cosy. Steve was very welcoming as he popped over to drop some treats off, and the treats were very welcoming. Nice large decking to sit and watch the canal boats go by, would highly recommend to anyone that just wants a break from it all. Of note no taxis in the area!

We had a great stay. We were there for a wedding near Ellesmere and the locations was perfect. The place was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable and had everything we needed. Paul was very responsive and helpful.

Stayed for a couple of nights and couldn't fault the place everything you need is there. It was so clean and very organised. Richard was a brilliant host brilliant communication couldnt have asked for a better place to stay hopefully will be staying again. Garden was brilliant for the dog she loved it.

What a fabulous little cottage! Gorgeous surroundings, a great place to escape it all. We only did a brief stay and wish we were there for longer. The cottage has everything you need, Richard popped over to say hello and pointed out the nearby key walks. Throughly enjoyed our time and would 100% book again.
