B&B Apartment County Down Downpatrick Ballynahinch

Alice and Klaus were fabulous hosts. Their property is stunning. From the moment we walked in, we felt special. The attention to detail is amazing. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was food in the fridge, chocolates, robes, slippers etc etc. We can not recommend Alice and Klaus's place enough. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was 5*. There'seven a sauna, what more can we say.

Number 2 - Forestview Cabin

Had a very pleasant stay. Lovely hosts, very friendly and very helpful. We booked our stay as we were attending a Wedding close by. Michaela gave us an early check so we had time to get ready. The morning after we had a lovely breakfast outside and enjoyed the beautiful views. Would highly recommend… 5 stars!!

The Little Cottage

RebeccaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Myself and my boyfriend stayed for 4 nights in the cottage and we had an amazing experience. If we needed anything, Nadine and Jeanie were very responsive and happy to help with anything. They even organised something for my boyfriend as it was his 30th birthday while we were there which was very thoughtful and kind of them. The cottage was very clean and extremely cosy and I would recommend to anyone looking for some quiet down time. We will hopefully be returning in the future.

Orchard Brooke Cottage -optional hot tub available

I really enjoyed my stay near Downpatrick. Colleen provided clear instructions, her dad greeted me on arrival, and then Colleen arrived laden with armfuls of goodies. Great, clean, well-equipped house - I was on my own but would be comfortable for more. Friendly dog, too! Well located too, if you're having a week's holiday as I was. If you are too, places to visit include (in the order I did them): Killough, Castle Ward (NT), Castlewellan Forest Park, Dundrum Cricket Club, Killard Point Nature Reserve, Ardglass, Murlough Beach (NT), Tollymore Forest Park, Hen Mountain (shortish climb with great views), Mount Stewart (NT), Rowallane Garden (NT). All within a 50-minute drive. Down Leisure Centre in Downpatrick was good value for a swim, with Asda across the road from it catering for all my shopping needs. Not sure when I will be back in Northern Ireland, but as and when I am, I'll certainly look to visit once again!
