Cabin holiday rentals in Lost River

This place was beautiful, quiet, clean and had so many extra amenities. The heated pool was great, even on the rainy days! We enjoyed the HBO Max on multiple TVs in the house and even on the porch! The creek was great too for the kids to explore. We were glad we had saved the check in key code ahead of time, as we had no reception until on the cabin’s wifi. Brandon was VERY responsive when we had questions. We definitely hope we are able to stay at the cabin again! Just wish we didn’t have to leave!!

We stayed at this Airbnb for a bachelorette weekend with six adults, and it was absolutely beautiful—both inside and out. Three of us stayed upstairs, while the other three used the bunk beds, which were surprisingly comfortable and conveniently located near a full bathroom on the same floor. We were especially relieved to have a screened-in porch, which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about bugs. The house was thoughtfully stocked with essentials, including a charming coffee bar and plenty of towels. Overall, we’d absolutely recommend this spot for a fun and relaxing mountain getaway!

Perfect Getaway! We had the most amazing honeymoon stay at this Airbnb! The cabin was immaculately clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need—from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets. The hosts truly went above and beyond to make the space welcoming and romantic. The amenities were everything we desired: from spending our evenings soaking in the hot tub, grilling under the stars, to relaxing by the fire pit. They even provided skewers for s’mores! Every detail made our stay feel special and memorable. One thing to note: the road leading up to the cabin is rocky and rough, so I’d recommend visiting in a vehicle that can handle uneven terrain. But—it’s absolutely worth the drive once you arrive. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, private, and beautiful getaway.

Lea’s place was phenomenal, I highly recommend this stay and Lea as a host. Amenities were great, the place was clean, and if we’re back down that way, we’ll for sure be visiting again.

My parents and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin over Father’s Day weekend. Our stay was peaceful and provided us the break we needed. Everything had been thoughtfully prepared - from the EV charger (A huge plus! The adapter to the Tesla was provided) to the well-stocked kitchen and spacious beds. We appreciated having all we needed to build a fire, grill, and enjoy meals both indoors and out. It was very easy to communicate with Lindsey. We would absolutely return!

This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

We had a wonderful weekend. The cabin is really nice and comfortable, and the surroundings are beautiful! It feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Lisa's communication was great, and she gave wonderful local recommendations. There's so much to see and do in the area, as well as great wineries and breweries.

Great place for a getaway with friends and family. Jonathan is very responsive, he provides a great handbook for everything of your stay! Will definitely consider to visit again.

The cabin is nestled in green, one can hear birds chirp all day. The cabin was as it appears in the pictures, clean and all amenities available. We enjoyed the hot tub.

This is a lovely property, the porch and swing alone make it worth the stay! The beds were very comfortable and the place is cozy and styled beautifully

Timber Creek Lodge was a very comfortable setting for a romantic weekend getaway! Stocked with everything you'd need, and nestled in a private, wooded area.

Wow. Raymond's cabin in the woods is extraordinary. It is indeed off the beaten track, but well worth it. We felt like we were the only humans for miles (we weren't) and we enjoyed the sounds of the forest. The cabin is comfortable, and well appointed. We both enjoyed the outdoor shower, though I cannot imagine doing that in the winter, but I'm a wimp. :) There are horseshoes, and a porch swing, as well as hammock chairs to enjoy the view. We are already discussing returning to this gem next year for a much longer stay.

Overall excellent experience. High on the hill with a little view. The hot tub was very clean, private and can’t be seen from any neighboring house. The driveway is a tight turn in a full size truck so watch for the ditches. It was rainy and in the high 70s for the 3 days I was there and the wall mounted air conditioner kept up good. Ceiling fans throughout were nice. I will stay here again.

The cabin at Basye was what we were looking for to do a short staycation. We stopped at some great places along the way and the cabin was very cozy, nice and clean! The cabin was stocked well with games, kitchen ware and even Keurig K cups which was nice, even though we brought a couple just in case. Becky and Josh were super responsive and very nice! We wish we could have stayed longer but would love to come back.

David's place was very comfortable for us and our dogs. Our favorite things about the house were the fenced yard, screened in porch, and comfortable beds. If bringing a dog(s), be aware that the neighbor has two dogs, one of which she does not leash when walking and who has a tendency to roam over to the house periodically. Our dogs are reactive in situations like this so we didn't appreciate it, especially since the neighbor made her way over to the house upon our arrival with her dogs and we specifically requested she keep her off leash dog away from the house for the week during our stay. Of course this was out of David's control, but if traveling with pets something to keep in mind. I would suggest some room darkening curtains be added to the primary bedroom as the blinds don't do much to block the morning light. It's a pretty area and peaceful. A little farther than what we anticipated to get to some things we wanted to do. David was responsive and easy to communicate with.

100% would recommend for couples who want comfortable peaceful private getaway. This early 1800's home has fascinating historic charm AND all the modern amenities. It is obvious that much thought and care is put in to assure comfort of guests. Carol and Mike are friendly, accommodating and responsive. Best, most unique bnb stay ever. Will come again and will highly recommend to family and friends.

Had a great stay. The picture windows and deck overlooking the wooded lot is incredibly peaceful. The owners home is visible from the drive but not from the loft itself so it feels secluded. I was worried the small fridge wouldn’t hold enough for a several day stay but I was wrong and cooking/preparing meals in the loft was easy. Host is communicative and provided clear instructions for check in/check out and how to use various kitchen appliances, the AC, etc. Game room was a fun addition though we mostly choose to relax in the loft or explore nearby hiking trails. Wouldn’t hesitate staying here again!

Loved staying at the Bunkhouse! Really nice and quiet. Perfect getaway for when you want to get out if the city. Lots of cool things to do close by. Maureen was super friendly and fast in all her communications. Would definitely love to come back!

We had a great stay at this cabin in West Virginia. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The setting was peaceful and private—perfect for unplugging and enjoying nature. Whether you’re sitting by the fire pit, enjoying your morning coffee on the porch, or exploring nearby trails, it’s an ideal spot for a quiet escape. We’d definitely come back!

Spent a weekend at the house for my husband’s birthday. The house was very beautiful and cozy. We were able to have a nice relaxing weekend. No complaints but I would suggest maybe a few more chairs for the fire pit and maybe a sauna. We would definitely come back!

Second time staying here. Really great location if you're looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet with easy access to lots of hiking and other outdoor activities. Peter and Joey were excellent hosts. Super responsive and helpful.

Loved our stay here! Enjoyed being surrounded in nature with plenty of wildlife and the beautiful river out back. We had so much fun tubing down the river back to the cabin, fishing, & sitting on the screened balcony. Beautifully designed interior/exterior! Truly the perfect blend of adventure & relaxation. Will definitely remember this trip and can’t wait to return!
