Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Forest Tiny House | Fire Pit | Olympic Peninsula

Tucked into a lush rain forest, this cozy and private tiny house is a peaceful retreat for slowing down. Wake to birdsong and filtered light through the towering trees, enjoy coffee or wine outdoors on the deck, grill dinner and gather by the fire pit as stars appear through the forest canopy. A simple, thoughtfully designed base for exploring the port towns and the Olympic Peninsula — or doing nothing at all. That's how we planned it. Small pets welcome. We use CDC guidelines as close as possible & leave 48+ hours between guests for your/our safety. Enjoy our secluded park like setting, comfy bed, sauna, homemade bread/jam, huge cedar trees, sitting areas, golf chipping, horseshoes (seasonal). Close to SEA via ferry ride from Bainbridge Is. (30 min. drive) or 10 min. to Kingston ferries (walk-on or car). Near beach, golf (White Horse GC) & miles of hiking/biking trails, close to shopping & restaurants. Good for couples/singles. Relax with the expansive view of the Olympic Mountain peaks across the Hood Canal from the entire glassed in house-front. Sit down by the fire pit to view sunsets, eagles, herons, seals, otters and occasional porpoise or orca passing. Your comfort is our goal with our mid century mod home. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Enjoy the beachfront park nearby. Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. This property may prove challenging for individuals with mobility issues. **Pricing is discounted due to ongoing improvements.
