Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lillehammer

Large nice cabin with plenty of space, we were 11 people from 2 to 78 years, everyone enjoyed! Cross-country tracks just a few 100 meters away, and also in the mountains at pellestova. 7 minutes by car to the lift in Gaiastova. Very well equipped cabin! Here we would love to come back.

After a stormy crossing, we reached Gala in the most beautiful sunshine, a short dispute with the Norwegian castle, then we immediately felt at home. We had seven beautiful cross-country tours in changing sunny-cold weather and a bit of fresh snow. The cabin was always homely and warm. We would have almost stayed forever. Now, unfortunately, everyday life has come back to us. Thank you Marianne

Nestled in the heart of Oppland, Elisabeth and Thomas' farm is set in an idyllic setting. You feel like you're in a real cocoon in this house perfectly maintained by Elisabeth. Plan a stay of at least 1 week to fully enjoy the comfortable and authentic accommodation. The bedding is very nice, the bathroom and kitchen are very well equipped. The advantages are: strawberry jam and homemade bread, wood stove, view and quiet. Feel free to give Thomas a hand when feeding the cows and calves. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a magical place to stay if you want to experience a true Norwegian wild getaway. The cabin is spacious, secluded, and rustic. The firewood stove makes it really cozy and atmospheric. The area is great for hiking and cross country skiing. Our hosts Oscar and Nina were very friendly and always available to answer our questions! Great place :)

We had a pleasant stay in Gålå. We enjoyed sauna, whirlpool and the close access to the groomed cross country ski tracks.

This was a wonderful place to stay. An authentically historic home with the beauty of old wood, the original large pine table and working old hearth. Yet it had all the comforts we expect and was spotlessly clean. There were several additional historic buildings on the large working farm. The view from the dining table and either porch is breathtaking. Best for us was Inga’s exceptional friendliness and the invaluable help she gave us in tracking down information on local family heritage. A reminder to bring your own shower toiletries. Exceptional place to stay!

Lovely cottage where you immediately felt at home. Very cozy and everything was very clean. Everything you needed was present (only we didn't find a colander:) ) Our sons loved all the toys present as well. You could walk to the beach to take a refreshing dip in the lake and in the wide area there was a lot to do. We really enjoyed our stay an Audun is a great host.

We totally recommend staying here. Our guests were incredibly kind and helpful. The house is located on a nice neighborhood and it’s well equipped The view is astonishing and I wouldn’t doubt staying again here Totally recommendable

A spotless stay, everything worked as we hoped.

We had a great weekend at Harald's apartment. Everything was as good as expected. New and nice apartment with everything you need. Nice with basic items and very nice to not have to pack linens and towels. Harald responded quickly to messages.

Very pleasant stay for a long weekend in May/June. Cabin with a very nice solution and good space in one with nature. Beautiful area, and very well equipped and cozy cottage. Pleasant and easy contact with the host, Håkon. We would love to come back another time. Øystein

Staying at Jan's cottage felt like being invited to stay by a friend who trusts you to look after their belongings. It's very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The cottage is right out in the countryside, which is wonderful - peace and quiet, lovely views, and we saw a mountain hare very close by. You definitely need a car, or to be a good skier in winter! We had very unusual freeze/thaw conditions and our hired car was inadequate for driving up and down the small road. Jan was really helpful, making sure the road was snow-ploughed, and responding very quickly to queries. We had a great time.

Our Third Trip, We love the place and feel that we are entering the home of a family that has spent years adding to such a traditionally Norwegian mountain retreat. The drive to Skeikampen is wonderful and we love the fact that a new supermarket has opened in Skeikampen. The Neighbour is so knowledgeable on local wildlife and is ever happy to share with us his insights. This place is a rare find and highly recommended. Tony O'Dea

The house was just what we were after. Good space, clean, and nice garden and views. Hege was very kind, flexible, and responsive. I’d definitely stay here again.

Håkon’s cabin was outstanding! It was so private, quiet & peaceful (never heard anything). The cabin was very cozy & comfortable and the fireplace was great along with the wood stove sauna. We had such a great time that we didn’t want to leave. Håkon was also extremely good at communicating & directing…both proactively anticipating as well as near immediate responsiveness. We would very highly recommend and we are appreciative of the opportunity to stay!

We spent our Christmas holidays in Siljas beautiful home as a family of five and we didn’t regret a moment. The house itself is spotless and really well equipped for any adventure. Silja gave a quick tour and really opened up all the possibilities for us. In case of questions she was really responsive and forthcoming in every way. Lillehammer is a magical place with a lot of „Julestemming“ and perfect for any kind of d of snow activity! Five thumbs up!

It was clean, comfortable, convenient and had parking. We really enjoyed staying there and would stay there again if we were in the area. Anette met us when we arrived, welcomed us and showed us around. It was a great beginning to a very pleasant visit!
