What a beautiful place, and a stunning area. Perfect for a cosy getaway. The lounge areas are full of activities for rainy weather, and there is a wonderful bush walk out the back, with views for miles. Short drive (or a good walk if you are keen) to the nearby town.

Love our stay! My daughter loves to pet the animals especially pom pom (the sheep). The kitchen is well equipped and we really felt like home. Deb is also very friendly and active, she's so kind to accompany us feeding the pets and provides heaps of info on interesting places nearby. Thanks Deb! Would definitely coming back 😊

What a lovely place to come home to after wandering the local goldfields area. Welcomed by a delicious honey-made cake and a very comfortable bed. As someone who uses a walking stick, I found both inside and outside accessible. We used the well-appointed kitchen to create dinner. Recommend O&L Cafe for coffee. Things to do include a drive to Talbot farmers market and a wander around the surprisingly peaceful and well-designed Chinese Garden in Avoca. Sharon was helpful, providing easy to understand information. Just the right combo with a friendly style. We stayed for four nights and it was worth it!

This was our second visit to Beckworth retreat and again with family. The rooms are comfortable, with lots of storage and we loved the big shared kitchen and dining area away from the rooms. Plenty of fridge and freezer space available for our supplies as well as for other guests staying. Also a well set up kitchen with lots of cooking utensils and eating utensils. I will continue to recommend Beckworth retreat.
