Maddies Cabin is set in the garden of a traditional granite house, called Benachie. The house maintains much of its original character. We are positioned near the centre of Alford, just off the main street. Private off-street parking is available in the driveway. Pets are welcome, however we do ask that you arrange with us prior to booking. We have two friendly dogs that share the garden.
“quite location, nice big shower with lots of hot water, tea and coffe facilities, shops close at hand- perfect”
Once a working water mill, this traditional granite property is now a charming home with bags of character and beautiful views over the fields, forests and hills of Royal Deeside. With direct access to the Tarland Way walking and cycling track, plus hunting and fishing opportunities on its doorstep and skiing at The Lecht and Glenshee less than an hour away, Coull Mill is enviably situated for outdoor enthusiasts all year round.
“I have nothing bad to say about our stay at Coull Mill. The place itself was immaculate, warm and so inviting. Our hosts were brilliant and kept us well informed about our stay. Pictures don’t do this wonderful house justice, so much effort has gone into making it a home from home. My family had such a great time here that we are thinking of a summer visit at some point. Great value for money, everything we needed was in the house from extra towels to plenty of kitchen essentials. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, go see for yourself and experience a wonderful house in an amazing part of Scotland. Christine, Martin and family x”
Brideswell Bothy is a traditional granite cottage on a working sheep farm. Recently upgraded and refurbished leaving original pine linings and features. Wonderful scenic area for walking and wildlife.
“We enjoyed our stay in Brideswell bothy for 1 week. The bothy was very clean and well fitted out and we had everything that we needed. It is in a great location which meant that we could explore the surrounding towns, villages and castles with ease. Definitely recommend a visit.”
