Quaint, little cottage in the historic district of downtown Leesburg. Built in 1840, restored in 2016 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior. Just a short drive from Dulles International Airport, the cottage is located just a few steps from the W&OD trail and minutes from all the amenities historic downtown Leesburg has to offer.
“Our only regret from our stay at Cozy Cottage was that it wasn't longer! Leesburg is an amazing town and we will absolutely be back. The place is in a great location and everything one would want to do is within walking distance. Angie had numerous small touches throughout the home that made our stay beyond enjoyable and as close to home as you can get. I begrudgingly recommend it as I'm hoping it is available for our next stay! I give it 6 out of 5 stars!”

“Damien's apartment was perfect for me and my friend. We stayed 3 nights. The fridge had some basic items - water, coke, butter, ice etc and that impressed me because I've been to other Airbnb houses and it was almost always empty. There were plenty of utensils for us to cook something. The bed was neat. There was TV in the bedroom as well as the living room. Overall the house was clean and it was a nice cozy stay. No issues. Damien was quick to respond to questions I had. Thanks for hosting me Damien.”
Grace Cottage has been expertly re-designed to be a unique living space. It has one king bed, a living area, large library, dining area and a fully-stocked kitchen space with a stove (no oven). There are also two sofa beds and a baby grand piano ~ a wonderful place to explore Waterford, the surrounding vineyards, and an opportunity to stay in one of the village's beautifully preserved properties.
“My wife and I are seniors who, with two granddaughters (ages 10 and 7), thoroughly enjoyed a six-night stay in wonderful Grace Cottage on our first social-distancing vacation. We chose this 1877 converted church because of its location, amenities, and uniformly great reviews from prior airbnb travelers. As owner Cate expertly advised us, we were centrally located for day trips to walkable Civil War sites at Harpers Ferry WV, Bull Run/Manassas VA, and Antietam MD. (Cate also expertly pointed us to nice outdoor-seating restaurants in nearby Leesburg and Lovettsville.) The historic town of Waterford was also great for easy walking to view architecturally interesting buildings and gardens, plus a slightly more challenging pathway hike into the countryside. The amenities of Grace Cottage were excellent, and the numerous photos on the airbnb website make it unnecessary to list the many comfortable furnishings. My granddaughters enjoyed using the 95-year-old baby grand piano, in surprisingly good condition, for their daily practice sessions and twice weekly lessons via FaceTime. The WiFi had no trouble in simultaneously handling a laptop computer and two iPads, and cell phone reception never failed. The kitchen area is small, but more than adequate. It is well equipped with everything necessary to prepare and serve all meals, including a stove top, microwave oven, and an under-counter refrigerator (pre-stocked with several items for our extended stay). We brought our own case of bottle water, which proved unnecessary because the tap water was excellent for drinking and all other purposes. The bathroom was also relatively small, but certainly adequate, with a nice shower stall and good water pressure. There were plenty of towels, linens, and decent pillows. The air conditioning worked perfectly at different day and night settings. LastLay, the owner’s daughter Cat was solicitous and attentive to our every question, from the initial inquiry to the completion of our stay at wonderful Grace Cottage.”
