Holiday rentals with lake access in Leelanau County

My family loved the place. It was perfect for my 2 young granddaughters. It was a great location. We visited not only Suttons Bay and Traverse City but also enjoyed Glen Arbor. It was close to the bike trail. We also went on a couple of hikes. (Empire Bluffs and Pyramid Point). My adult children and spouses visited wine country in the Old Mission Peninsula while I watched my granddaughters. The nursery and playroom was perfect for our family. We loved the open concept in the kitchen and family room. We enjoyed the beach across the road from the house. Thanks for a wonderful time! It will be a vacation my family will never forget!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! This was one of the nicest rental homes we have stayed in over the years. It was incredibly clean and so well stocked. The hosts have thought of everything their guests might need. Beds and linens were comfortable. Great water pressure in the showers! Cute and comfortable open living room and kitchen area. Northport was such a nice town. A few of the shops and restaurants were open as the town is still quiet this time of year as they come out of winter. We loved exploring. It was a short and beautiful drive to Suttons Bay with lots of shopping and many more restaurants, and about 40 minutes from Traverse City. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area. Thank you!

We had a lovely, relaxing 5 days at this camp. It is simple but appears to be recently renovated. It’s not high end (the kitchen chairs are cheap plastic) but it’s clean, comfortable, and tasteful. It’s nestled on the lake with a gorgeous view. Sadly, the renovation did not include a dishwasher. Bayshore does a great job stocking the place - there are plenty of replacement supplies, including coffee. Two Bayshore annoyances: I requested a rubber spatula/flipper so the non stick pans didn’t get further damaged. Their response: I could purchase one myself. Also, you have to drag the trash can 200 yards up the driveway on Tuesday nights or “there may be an additional fee.” Still, I would stay there again.

Easily one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to. Jim was very responsive and kept us informed, and his assistant Jenny was there at check in to show us a tour of the house. The attention to details was amazing, and we felt like it was a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the Traverse City area.

Empire Beach House was amazing! The location was convenient and easy to find. It’s next to the public beach and boat launch, but noise and traffic one would expect were a non-issue—just low key, friendly locals who respected the private beach and took great pride in the natural beauty of the area. The house itself is spotless, incredibly organized, very comfortable and beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and appliances. The views from the deck overlooking Lake Michigan and the Dunes to the North and South were jaw dropping. Spent more time there than anywhere else. We highly recommend the Empire Beach House for families and friend groups of 4-6 ppl. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

great location and great place. my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was a perfect location to do a lot of things. as well as very comfortable to just chill at the house and do nothing! we loved it

Place was exactly as described. Perfect location for our needs and the ability to bring our dogs was a huge plus. House was spacious and well kept. Would stay here again

The location is great- close to Glen Arbor, Leland, Sleeping Bear, several Leelanau Conservancy parks. The house was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with lots of up north charm. There are 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 full baths, great sunroom for dining and reading, large sunny backyard. We were up for Memorial Day weekend and it was a little chilly- but cottage was warm and cozy! Hosts were very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at Tom and Juli's place, it was very clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The location could not be better, you can easily walk to stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and a great park that has an awesome playground for kids and tennis/pickleball/basketball courts. You are also within a 10 minute drive of all the hikes and activities of Sleeping Bear Dunes. Tom also gave us some great advice on activities for my kids. I would give this place a great recommendation and if we were to ever return to the area, this is the first place I would look for.

We see spent 9 nights at Water-view Flat. Brad was a great host. He was very responsive. It is newer flat and presents a very upscale vibe. The place was very clean and well decorated. The linens, bedding and mattress all where 5 star hotel quality. The kitchen was very well stocked. The place was light and bright. We enjoyed coffee on the deck. We had our bikes and had very easy access to the TART trail . Everything we needed was walking of biking distance. We would not hesitate to rent again and most likely will.

This was a perfect place to stay for a few days while in the area for a conference. The place was clean and comfortable. The beach access was a nice added bonus.

David and Nicole were exceptional hosts. They were extremely responsive and genuinely vested in a comfortable and pleasurable stay. Their attention to detail, well equipped accommodations made my stay better than my own home. Everything in its place and easy to find. This location was very close to Traverse City Horse Shows. I appreciate being able to bring my dog.

What can I say about Tranquil Oasis? Only that it was truly one of our favorite places ever to stay! It's above a clothing shop right in downtown Glen Arbor, so you truly can't get a better location. It's walkable to everything in Glen Arbor, and right near the Cherry Republic, where, let's be honest, you will want to be almost every day! The place is newly renovated and the taste is superb. There's a huge balcony, peaceful surroundings, beach chairs provided for guests. It's got a great flow, a great feel and was spotless. Everything was perfect here and we would book again in a heartbeat should we venture to Glen Arbor again. You can't go wrong booking this place!

Little Skip Cottage was absolutely gorgeous & cozy — just perfect for our honeymoon. We loved everything about it and will certainly be back!

This was our second stay here and we had a lovely time. The space is perfect for a group of friends and also kid friendly. The home has lots of character and great views of Glen Lake. The beach is huge - great for skipping rocks during the day and roast marshmallows by the fire at night. We were a super short drive to downtown Glen Arbor. We will definitely be back!

Tootsie was a wonderful, responsive host and everything was just as listed. Her home provided the perfect home base for exploring the trails and beaches in the area. We love this part of Michigan and would gladly stay at The Drake again! Glen Arbor is a beautiful community and the lakes are gorgeous.

Carlie's place is absolutely one of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed in. The two houses and location are beautiful, and we found ourselves wanting to hang out at her place instead of going to some nearby beaches (which are also great). Carlie provided a lot of great amenities that really hit the mark for us: beautiful dock, paddleboard/kayaks, giant splash pad, firepits, floaties, picnic tables, grills (yes, multiple), s'mores fixings and other treats... All in all it made for a great vacation and I hope we return soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location is perfect. We walked to town every day. The cottage had everything that we needed for our stay in Northport. The place was very clean and well appointed. The owner was so kind and helpful. She helped us when we got locked out and provided good info about the area. We hope to stay at the cottage again next year if we vacation in Northport.

The space was so cozy and perfect for our weekend. Ansel was quick to reply with questions and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!!

The Jolly Lodge is your quintessential Lake Michigan get away stay overlook the clear blue waters of the lake with your own private beach and lawn overlooking Manitou Island in the distance! Highly recommended for sure!
