“Elsie's place was clean, comfortable, private, convenient and a great "home base" for the area. There was more than enough space for the two of us, and we especially loved the ćdance of the fireflies" after 9pm from the back porch each night. Magical! It was a lovely, peaceful stay, and one we would whole-heartedly recommend to other travellers.”

“pictures are exactly how it is, though it's actually bigger than it looks. the cottage is nestled in the trees, which kept the cottage cooler, and gave lots of places to lounge out of the sun. queen bed was super comfortable, and lots of space to relax in the living room. it's so incredibly quiet! and there's tons of grass space to play games and relax on. the water was like glass most days which made kayaking super easy, and a quick paddle gets you to an island where you can jump from the rocks into the water! we loved the fire pit, watching all the dragon flies during the day, fireflies at night, and listening to the loons! you're far enough to have an dark beautiful night sky, but close enough to all the amenities you could need (Brockville is only 30min away). if you want to stay put, a 5min walk from the cottage gets you to a well stocked little Foodland, and an LCBO. Aaron was very easy to communicate with, and responded to messages quickly. these are things to note, but definitely were not negatives: - the lake is weedy, but there are places to swim without touching them if you're willing to go out by watercraft. it's an easy canoe/kayak - the cottage gets warm during the day. we were there the beginning of july, we would close the windows and blinds in the morning, then open them up around 6pm once the sun dipped behind the trees. it would cool down pretty quick. again, it's not a negative, just something to be aware of if you're expecting climate control! we would 100% book again, and would recommend it to friends/family. Thanks Aaron!”

“Justine is a fantastic host and put so much care and attention into the space. Every detail was thought about and I can't think of a single thing I'd do differently. The granola and coffee waiting on offer, milk in the fridge, the beautiful decorating and the comfie bed. It was a great place to launch our kayaks and rest after a perfect paddle. We felt very taken care of and welcome. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We'll be back for sure!”
