Then enjoy Sandra's wonderful home cooked breakfast and a second or third cup of coffee before you begin your day.
“Gary was such a great host. He makes a point of knowing his guests and caring about them. They have a beautiful home and they make sure you know is yours too. The simple touches he and his wife make to make sure you are comfortable go above and beyond the average host. It is a home-spun sort of place with all the things you'd want "at the lake": bikes in the garage - super easy to hop on, kayaks and canoe, swing on the waterfront, and the lake right out back.”
Our Leech Lake Retreat is located on beautiful Moonlight Bay- take in one of the best views for sunsets & the moon from the hot tub located on the back patio. The property has 4 decks & a screened porch overlooking the bay. The sand beach is a great spot to relax or catch perch/sunfish from the dock. The view from the built in fire pit is a perfect way to end the day. This multi level home is the perfect way to allow for family gatherings or just a week away at the lake!
“Beautiful, well maintained home right on steamboat bay. The lake is sheltered here, so it's fantastic for canoeing and kayaking, as well as easy to drop a boat in next door for $10, or a short ride from the walker launch. WiFi was fast and video calls were fairly easy to do, even with multiple people working at the same time. Air conditioning is per room and kept the master bedroom plenty cool at night, but the other two rooms may be warm on hot days. Plenty of kitchen items provided for even a large group. We cooked daily and only needed to bring groceries. The host was very responsive and helpful in getting us situated. We'll definitely return in the future!”
Our home is close to Leech Lake, biking, cross country ski, snowmobile, and 4 wheeler trails. 6 miles to downtown Walker. You’ll love our place because it's on a quiet, private road, the great ambiance and proximity to many outdoor activities. The sunrises are beautiful from the 3 season porch. We offer a canoe, paddle boat, 2 bikes, bean bag game, and horseshoe pit. It's good for couples, solo folks, business travelers, families (with kids), and pet friendly (if they're WELL house trained).
“Beautiful property! It was the perfect location for a group. Everyone had their own space and yet there was plenty of common space to hang together, make meals, play games, etc. We went ATV'ing around Paul Bunyan Forest and the property is so close that it was easy to just get on the trails from right down the road from the house. There was no need to load and unload the ATVs every day. The trails were beautiful and Walker was so close that it was a nice easy drive in to pickup a few things or grab a bite to eat. Wish we would have stayed longer!”
