Quaint farm building on a working farmstead. Bathroom is separate but close. Building has a double bed and futon. There is TV and internet. A farm tour is included if you are interested. We have goats, sheep, pigs, alpacas, bees, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and guineas. The animals are fairly close to the cabin, which most guests enjoy, but if you are a light sleeper we do have ear plugs.
“I don’t leave a of reviews these days other than the generic “it was as expected”. But, this farm house just blew my mind. Although I do want to just praise them, for the sake of other travelers, I want to leave an unbiased review to set the expectations right. Pros: - I was able to do laundry. - The bed is super comfortable and awesome. ( i love firm mattresses.) - I slept in the middle of a farm! 😍 there are alpacas.. did I say alpacas? Yes. I loved to be around the farm animals. There is so much regularity of schedule and time among farm animals. I could write 15 pages about this aspect of my stay alone. Sucks I couldn’t spend enough time here this time. Def coming back again soon. - jennifer is extremely patient, communicative and awesome to talk to. She explained about the farm and patiently answered all my curious questions about the farm. Very prompt in communication whenever I had any question regarding the stay as well. - hot water and great water pressure in the shower. - all personal spaces are super clean. - the stars. Clear skies and a million stars to stare at as there are no Light pollution nearby. - rustic, special unique feel and farm like. Great experience. - great price - could park my car right next to my room. - the cats were super friendly. I’m not even a cat person and I enjoyed them. Cons : very trivial for me personally. - bathroom is shared and not attached to the bedroom. - rustic and farm like. If you’re expecting a hotel comfort and service , goto a hotel. This is a farm and you’ll be disappointed if you had other expectations. - farm animals sometimes can make noises. If you didn’t read before, this is a farm. They don’t claim otherwise, you shouldn’t expect anything else. But, jennifer did offer ear plugs. It didn’t matter at all for me personally. - WiFi is not strong everywhere. But, adequate in the common spaces - if you’re from a city, you’ll realize that there are not enough restaurants nearby. So, either bring your own or be okay to drive 20 mins. The One of my best airbnb experiences ever! And I travel a LOT. So, that's even more special. I want to try to spend more time in here. :)”
Kokomo Farms is a Tranquil Organic Farm . The property includes our family of rescued barnyard animals, horse pastures, and wooded area. Relax in the Zen garden hot-tub (garden also has yard games, artwall & grill). Wander through the barn & visit the chickens, enjoy our community fire pit, & plenty of space for walks thru open grassy areas, wooded hammock & short trails. Experience a starlit sky on our stargazing bed without light pollution & wakeup to the sounds of nature all around.
“If you're looking for a secluded getaway during this pandemic, Kokomo Farms is truly a sanctuary. We were lucky enough to stay when there were no other guests during the week and had such a romantic, magical time. Trudy and Gregg are such accommodating, sweet hosts. They went above and beyond with every detail regarding our stay. Trudy let us watch a movie in the projector room, which is a theater/movie themed space on the porch with a floating bed! Our favorite parts were the hot tub, the paint station, giving treats to the horses and chickens, and looking at the stars at night. Something that was very important to us was that Trudy and Gregg respected social distancing guidelines during this time. We have been very strict on human contact and ordered all our groceries before we left home. We felt very comfortable with how things were set up on the farm to keep ourselves safe during this time. We opted for the container home with a/c, as temperatures were high during our stay. The home has two sleeping options, a full bed and a couch that makes into a king-sized sleeping area. Trudy and Gregg did such a great job with the container. It definitely feels like home inside. We are already planning our trip back with several couples we know! We look forward to getting back to Kokomo Farms soon and spending some more time off grid. Thank you for creating such an amazing place, Trudy and Gregg!”
Home is 7 acres directly on the Suwannee River(over 800 ft ) only 10min off of I-75, in a gated subdivision with 3-10 acre lots. Home feels like it's in the middle of the wilderness but is convenient to everything. Valdosta Mall 25min, Live Oak 15min(Wal-Mart), Suwannee River Music Festival 10 min. Wild Adventures 20min. Right across from wildlife preserve so you'll see plenty of wildlife deer, turkey, etc. Great place to get away from it all and do some fishing, boating or hunting.
“The property is great for a quiet weekend on the Suwannee. Plenty of room for a decent sized group (7 people for my group) and there are plenty of things to do nearby (the river and some springs). The only (slight) complaint was the sulfur smell in the water, but that was the only small issue throughout our entire weekend. James was responsive and helpful whenever we needed any assistance and I would happily rent the space again in the future.”
