“The house exceeded our expectations. It stands on a hill, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and flowers. The area around the house is very well maintained and includes a swimming pool, outdoor tables, a barbecue zone, and amazing views. Inside, the rooms are decorated in a country style, with a good taste, everything was perfectly clean. We also received a complimentary bottle of homemade wine! Elisa and her family were very pleasant and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place for those, who are looking for a relaxing stay in the middle of Tuscany's nature, location is convenient to travel to Sienna, Florence or surrounding villages. The only comment, that it would be nice to include in the room service some tea, coffee, and maybe a minimum of spices for cooking. It's a little inconvenient to buy these essentials for a rather short stay. But overall an amazing experience!”
Avete mai soggiornato nella torre di un castello medievale?
“Nicola's castle is spectacular! The castle itself and then the gorgeous surrounding area is beautiful. When we arrived I was very sick and Nicola offered to take me to see a doctor or the hospital, it was so kind. He gave us a bottle of his vineyard's wine on arrival, also. He gave so many tips and information on what to see, eat and do. All of his suggestions were spot on. I cannot recommend his castle enough! We stayed in the tower and it was such a unique experience, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. <3”
Un Castello nella campagna toscana. Il luogo ideale per una vacanza tra relax, cultura e buon vino.
“Three years ago we stayed in the I Veroni suite at the Castello, and it was absolutely magical. Returning this year with family, we rented the Il Cantuccio room across the hall at the top of the stairs as well, so we could easily utilize the close proximity to accommodate the feeling of a larger overall living space. It worked out quite well, since the I Veroni suite has an open dining room/living room where we could all hang out. The feeling of driving up the driveway and driving across the drawbridge really immerses you in the historic feeling of the place. Once you are inside, the late medieval/early Renaissance decor and the views on all sides are absolutely unbeatable. There are cypress trees, olive trees, vineyards, hills, and other greenery as far as the eye can see, and you are ideally situated very close to the center of the Chianti region, where a drive to Siena or San Gimignano, or any number of wineries is less than an hour away. This place is absolutely perfect for taking day trips out and about, then coming back to the Castello with groceries or food to sit back, enjoy the views and the ambience, and drink a glass of wine or three. On top of all that, Nicola is a wonderful host, making himself available for any issues or questions you may have, and he even makes his own wine with the Castello on the label (and it is quite good)! Honestly we cannot recommend this place enough, and we absolutely plan on coming back again during our next trip to Tuscany.”
