L'Orangerie is an elegant studio apartment in Le Vigan, at the foot of Mont Aigoual in the Cévennes National Park. A short walk to Le Vigan town centre, l'Orangerie is set in a tranquil garden overlooking olive and cypress groves. The apartment once housed orange and lemon trees to protect them from frost during the cold winter months. True to its original layout, the studio is a bright, open plan room with plenty of natural light streaming through powder blue shuttered windows.
“Jess and Jules, What a little corner of paradise you have! This escapade was exactly what we needed after the lockdown and madness from the world. L’Orangerie was peaceful, decorated with taste and fully equipped (which made our stay even smoother), and the pool... Amazing! Thank you for all your delicate attentions. We hope to come visit you again soon and we are recommending this gem to everyone! Enjoy the summer :)”
This property is a tiny appartment within the owner's house with private terrace and independant access. It is well equiped ,it has a small kitchen and bathroom. Sheets and towels are supplied. You have access to the family pool.
“Change of scenery guaranteed at Aude & Serge, both friendly and dynamic! The view is breathtaking of Le Vigan and the Cévennes from the swimming pool (even better than in the photo), and the accommodation is as functional as it is affordable (and that, for once, it's rare). Tourist documentation is available as well as reading, very practical and appreciable when you arrive and want to settle down quietly. Good addresses are also referenced in a folder (including the guest book that speaks for him). I was thus able to discover the Tuesday morning farmer's market on the village square with really delicious artisanal products (Hérault honey, Gard goat bush, Vigan apple juice, local smoked trout, etc.). Hikes ideas allowed me to test that of the Circuit de l'Arre (with building, chestnut forest and path along the river, which bears this name). Aude advised me very well for a cycling route through the Cévennes (between passes with panoramas, picturesque villages and magnificent waterfalls). I will come back for sure, the label 'Perle Rare' is really deserved, very good hosts and a very beautiful setting for a really excellent value for money. See you soon ! AT.”
