An excellent stay in a wonderful cottage with real character. Stephanie is a great host, who made everything easy and communicated very well. Highly recommend if you like the countryside, dogs and horses!!

A unique place near an exceptional forest, a just perfect landscape and environment, a moment of rest in this crazy world. For nature lovers, it's perfect. For others, Alençon is just 10 minutes away. Personally, I'll go back as soon as possible.

We had a great weekend with the family. The Bourse forest is nice, the trails well marked. The house is quiet, the garden superb.

The house was absolutely wonderful – just as described in the listing, if not better! It’s incredibly spacious, which made it perfect and very comfortable for our group. The enclosed courtyard with the large gates was ideal for the dogs – we could let them out with complete peace of mind, knowing they were safe. The furnishings throughout the house were stylish and cosy, and we spent a couple of lovely, relaxing evenings in front of the fire. The kitchen and dining area are fantastic – perfect for big family meals and gatherings. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing bike rides we enjoyed along miles and miles of converted old railway tracks. The French really do cater brilliantly for cyclists – it was all so well organised and incredibly scenic. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Thank you so much for a truly memorable visit.
