Monthly Rentals in Le Bournat

Caroline and Gilles are very warm and friendly hosts who were immediately available for questions. The listing is as described in the photos. It is a truly extraordinary, very large apartment. The living room (formerly the station hall) resembles a museum, Caroline and Gilles have collected old station utensils and pictures and exhibited them there. The house and garden are lovingly restored and designed, the two have invested a lot of work (and money) to turn the old train station into a wonderful accommodation. There is nothing missing in the kitchen. The centre of Le Bugue is about 1 km away, via the beautiful bike path "voie verte" it is 4 km. We really enjoyed the bike tours and our accommodation. I also enjoyed the personal contact and a little "chat" in the evening, so I could use my "rusty" French skills again. Thank you for everything!

Very well and great time spent in a beautiful mill stylized as a small castle, yes it is in fact a small castle, very well equipped and stylized among others through furniture and art objects as an authentic castle. The location is very good, close to the town where there are shops, restaurants and above all it is close to the best attractions of the region, by car about 15 minutes to many beautiful castles. Louise is very nice and very helpful. Thank you again Louise for a wonderful stay in your castle.

We only stayed 2 nights in Catherine's accommodation but it was enough to fully recommend it. Everything is as described, Catherine was very welcoming. If I had to highlight one strong point, it's the coolness of the accommodation (because it's located on the ground floor/basement): we were there during a heatwave alert (end of June 2025). And yet the accommodation was extremely cool, so much so that it felt like it was air-conditioned (when it wasn't). Finally, the city centre of Le Bugue with all these shops is a 5-minute walk away, so very convenient (even if the sidewalks are quite narrow). We hope to be able to come back to the Dordogne for longer and we won't hesitate to stay with Catherine again!

We had a brilliant stay! Tosha and Robert were absolutely fantastic — friendly, responsive, and so thoughtful. The house itself was beautiful, spotless, and set in gorgeous surroundings. They went above and beyond to accommodate our 18-month-old, providing a stair gate, cot, and high chair, which made everything so much easier for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommended!
