Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lawrence

My children and I had a staycation with our two dogs. Life is busy and stressful right now, the kids loved it so much they wanted to live there! We cooked, watched TV and enjoyed time together like a home away from home. The park nearby is amazing and the fenced yard is beautiful. A heads up about a difficult neighbor, I suggest hitting record on your phone as soon as any verbal altercation begins. It’s completely out of the host’s control, but the neighbor clearly takes issue with Airbnb guests and may want to make trouble. We only had one interaction, but it was enough to cause us a little worry.

Have stayed here in the past and location is great for me and convenient to amenities.

We were visiting our son who attends KU and was running in a track meet. This was one of the best homes we have rented. The house is very cute and well furnished. The owners have thought of everything. WiFi was fast, well stocked home, beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. Communication with the hosts was great. It is secluded and peaceful but also convenient to Rock Chalk Park. Grocery and restaurants easy to get to as well as downtown Lawrence. This will be our “go to” when visiting Lawrence.

Emily was very responsive and accommodating! Her home was beautiful and very clean, which made us feel right at home. It is located in a very quiet area, but just a short drive from downtown restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great stay. The location was excellent for exploring the area and going to downtown KC. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly by the owners.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home! The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. The old downtown Shawnee area had several great restaurants to choose from. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. The attic decor was fun and it was a great location to watch a movie. Overall great stay!

We had an amazing stay with Cheryl! She was very responsive and flexible with our needs that included traveling with a baby. She and her husband were incredibly friendly and proactive with making sure we had what we needed. The location was perfect for us and the open yard space/patio were an awesome bonus!

This was the perfect little getaway for the night for my daughter and I. It was so cozy and quiet and we had a blast playing all the available games. We both felt asleep watching movies on the giant couch it was so comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive and greeted us when we arrived and assured to reach out if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

Great stay, moving across the country and needed a place to sleep for a night and was perfect, but also felt like I could have stayed longer.

Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

We loved being a little outside the city. Very peaceful place with a quick drive to the action. Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, loved the patio. Would stay again!

The place was very nice, spent a few days here and it was very comfortable (the bed is also sooo comfortable I slept like a baby). The hosts were also very communicative, it was very lovely - would recommend 10/10.

My husband and I were looking for a secluded place to spend our first weekend together away from our 3 year old. The Vassar cabin was secluded and private, and the proximity to the water was exactly what we wanted. The hot tub made it even easier to relax.

This Grantville gem is a great get away. We would have loved to take advantage of the remote trails, screened in porch and quiet surroundings, but for us it was the perfect spot to group and re-group for our son's wedding in Topeka, just a short drive west. I would recommend this to anyone going near there, Mallory's communication is spot on. Thank you all for sharing your home.

Everything was as expected. Perfect for an overnight stay while on the road. We were towing an expensive motorcycle and felt that it was secure in the provided parking area. Would have been good to watch TV without streaming through my phone. I was exhausted and just went to bed. I always appreciate a clean place to stay. Good job.
